The oldest still existing deck I created on this platform. Good old times <3After the first practice rounds in magic, with decks that were probably illegal in every format that sol ring is illegal in, the first, kinda polished, decks of the modern format emerged. A friend of mine used to play an ally-aggro deck, before he became a notorious tree-hugger and switched to elves. I am not much for aggro decks, funny, since I started with a mono green beast deck :D In the end his deck, especially the kalastria healer, was more or less the first time that I encountered the magic mechanics/keywords I have now fallen in love with. From here on out I focused mainly on tribal decks, with life drain, life gain, sacrifice, reanimate mechanics, and other graveyard interactions.Tribal does not necessarily mean aggro in my case. I consider it more like a theme the deck is build around.
A creature based deck with enter the battlefield interactions.The deck has a aggro component with fast growing and cost efficient creatures, a midrange component with continous life gain and life drain on the opponent.The late game is rather weak, so we try to finish it early on. You may compare it with modern humans, but a weak variant of those.Since I dont like to stick to established decklists, but rather to my own "themes", I stuck to this deck for quite some time. While it still exists, the meta at our kitchentable has outgrown the powerlevel of this deck by far, sadly :(
