You had my attention at the title. Nice.

Not bad if you plan on only using one creature, although I can see it being more of a hindrance than a help. I've got a similar standard deck that focuses on demon tribal but not the "one of" concept. No offense. Just not a fan of these "one of" cards.

Man, I was really hoping that this wouldn't be human heavy. Not saying that it's bad. I just don't have a lot of humans to do a deck like this, so I try and take a more monstrous approach to it. I've got the land for it, just not any idea for how to do it well without using humans.

Still, nice deck.

I've never tried a deck like this, so I would initially have my doubts. But hey, if it works it works!

I've seen a few Miracle control decks and I like your setup although I can't get over the absence of creatures. Just out of curiosity, how consistent is this deck?

I understand the fear of hexproof, but there are ways around that. Mass kill cards (such as Life's Finale, Divine Reckoning, and so forth) don't target creatures. Same with Black Sun's Zenith (which I personally hate seeing hit the field).

Other than that, you need to fix your mana curve. You could drop a Quicksilver Amulet (I feel four is too many). Drop a handful of these 7+ CMC creatures and put in some cheaper (yet effective) creatures to help you survive against decks that are getting aggressive as soon as turn two.

I know that probably isn't much help, but my mind is kinda sluggish right now.

I don't see why running Manamorphose is a bad idea. I mean sure, you might have to wait a bit to see it, but the extra card draw is nice.

You have Elvish Eulogist and Skyshroud Ranger listed twice.

I'd swap Act of Treason for Traitorous Blood. Other than that, I like the deck.

Well, the flipped side of Garruk does offer some great benefits to this deck, but I wouldn't run/rely it. If you are getting a good deal for them though (they are about $10 each) I would still pick them up. You never know when you might need them.

As far as mana, with the Mulch and early Dawntreader Elks, it shouldn't be an issue. You'll still have 23 lands to work with, which is fine since you are only running two colors. In regards to the Ghoultree/Splinterfright issue, you're running four Ghoultrees and three Splinterfrights. The chances of you tossing all of them to the graveyard before they make it to your hand is unlikely. However, if it does become an issue, you can make room for Birthing Pod and rely on Ambush Viper or Disciple of Griselbrand to fish it out of your library. I wouldn't fret too much about that though.

Personally, I prefer keeping a deck as close to 60 cards as possible. Here is what I would do.

I'd drop the Trees of Redemption, Unburial Rites, two Tracker's Instincts, and a forest. This opens up 8 slots.

Put in two Asceticisms, three Autumn's Veil, and three Prey Upon. And swap the Skirsdag Flayers for Disciple of Griselbrand.

Just my opinion.

If you're in it for the long haul, Asceticism is the way to go as far as protection is concerned in green. I can't think of much in black that would help. Green's also got Autumn's Veil (which is great imo) and Ranger's Guile (which I'm not too fond of). Both of those are more for spot protection though.

I can't believe I forgot to mention this card earlier, but I think it would do you some good to run Prey Upon in this deck. It's great with those Deathtouch creatures, and if you happen to use it with Ghoultree, well, there isn't much in standard right now that can take a 10/10 like that.

I can't help but feel that Disciple of Griselbrand would be a better choice than Skirsdag Flayer. Second, if ghoultree is you win con, you'll want to find a way to give it trample or evasion of some sort. Overrun would help with that, but I can't think of much else that would.

I've made a similar deck, but it focuses more on Splinterfright. You can check it out here.
