This deck is supposed to be played somewhat aggressively, with an emphasis on the obvious ability of making your opponent lose X life, wherein you will gain X life. I say X, because these abilities stack, see. Having 2 BLOOD ARTIST's on the field will make your opponent lose 2 life, and you will gain 2 life. Attacking with a NIGHT MARKET LOOKOUT will add another 1 to X, meaning your opponent will lose 3 life, and you will gain 3 life. Hell, if he's unblocked for some reason you'll even do another point of damage to him or her.
I think I described that way too thoroughly.
ACCURSED WITCH when dies, will turn into a curse you may enchant a player with which will make them lose 1 life and you gain one life when they play a creature spell.
BONTU'S MONUMENT does the same but for when you cast a creature spell, which will also be cheaper. Not that this is an expensive deck by any means.
FOUL-TONGUE SHRIEK is a great agro card for when you want to do a ton of damage directly and gain that much life. This combines (I think..) with another great instant, but we'll get to that in a moment...
BONTU'S LAST RECKONING is good mass removal for cheap, though it will leave you wide open... unless of course you have BONTU THE GLORIFIED OUT! OOOHHHH YEAHHHHHHHH sorry.
Anyways that little cool combo I have involves a card that I'm not entirely sure works in the way I want it to, but I'm hoping it will. This is my last addition to the deck, CAULDRON HAZE which gives as many creatures you want PERSIST, at instant speed. Now this trigger's multiple effects regarding creatures like BLOOD ARTIST and such, but these abilities, I hope, would actually resolve twice, due to the fact that the creature, even when having 0 toughness from the -1/-1 counter, would hit the battlefield and then die again. This would mean that any creature with a toughness of 1 could die in a attack or defense, triggering BLOOD ARTIST or ZULAPORT CUTTHROAT or even FALKENRATH NOBLE. THEN the creature, due to playing CAULDRON HAZE would come back onto the battlefield, with a -1/-1 counter on it, immediately killing it again, and thusly triggering the VAMP again (I know it's late to abbreviate the ability now but that's what I'm doing dammit.) SO essentially, PERSIST allows deaths to trigger VAMP twice.
I hope that's how it would work, otherwise I'll figure something else out for the last 3 card slots.
