Deck Description

This is a deck I have designed around one of the jankiest rare cards in Ravinica Allegiance: Lumbering battlement, and the infinite combos that can follow.

Lumbering Battlement is va 4/5 for 4W with vigilance and when it enters the battlefield you may exile any number of non token creatures you control until LB leaves the battlefield, it gets +2/+2 for each creature exiled with it.

Forbidding Spirit is here as protection against aggro.
Justiciar's portal and siren's ruse are maybe replacements for release to the wind.

Comments and suggestions are welcome.

How to Play

Mirror image is copies 5-8 of lumbering battlements, as long as you have at least 1 LB and two more of either MI or LB you can infinitely loop exiling them.

Your win conditions are either Wall of Lost Thoughts or aviation pioneer.

Muse drake helps you draw into your win conditions once you have your combo out, and the flicker cards help you restart it.

Deck discussion for Lumbering infinity

Looks like a fun deck. And with all those ETB triggers, Mirror Image has many worthwhile targets.
Only suggestion I could maybe add is an obvious one: Hallowed Fountain

I think I do have one Hallowed Fountain in the deck, but I can't remember exactly.

Also, how did you create those links in your comment?

The links don't work with all cards, but: "[["card name"]]" (without the quotation marks). It won't show the linked cards for you immediately (need to reload the page) and I don't think it works in Deck Description and How to Play.

Hmmm... I shall test this. Doom Blade. It works. Sweet, thanks.

I like it, any reason not to include an Ajani's Welcome or two?

Not a bad idea, but what would I replace for it?

I honestly wouldn't know without testing the deck thoroughly, just the ability to jack that life total up into absurdity really makes me laugh, at least on the end of the one playing it. Would suck to be an aggro deck coming in hot and just go, well nope can't win now.

And it's ideas like this that make me consider splashing white into my Gruul deck for Knight of Autumn (also because of how versatile it is).

Yeah, similarly I've got a Naya deck that only ended up that way for KoA lol.

I feel like Hunted Witness works well with Lumbering Battlement.

While hunted witness is a fine card, it creates a token when it dies, which is when it enters the graveyard from the battlefield, which doesn't happen with Lumbering battlement, as it exiles things.

Kind of wish hunted witness said when it leaves the battlefield, but that would be super broken.

Aviation Pioneer is already filling the required role.

True, Aviation Pioneer does fill that role, but I am always looking for better cards.

With enough low power creatures, Mentor of the Meek can draw you a lot, especially during the loop.
Similarly, Militia Bugler can help you dig for non-Battlement creatures.
Sailor of Means can help you ramp into Battlement.
Shield Mare would be an awesome sideboard option.

Funny, I was looking into all of those creatures other than mentor.

Sailor of Means essentially gives me infinite mana. While Militia Bugler lets me dig until I find a win condition.

Might swap out Aviation Pioneer for those, maybe swap an Unwind out as well.
