What is better than slamming an Eldrazi and seeing your opponent scoop? Giving it haste, and slamming it on turn 4. And again on turn 5, and 6. Etc...Shifty Doppelganger is essentially sneak attack, just in creature form. technically faster than Sneak attack as it is 3 to cast instead of 4. but the downside is the 4 mana activation cost instead of 1, and you only get a single activation from it per turn. but it also might be a little more resilient to removal as it exiles itself as part of the activation cost.
you can pull out a turn 4 win if you play Eldrazi Mimic turn 2, Shifty on 3 and activate it for any other Eldrazi turn 4. You end up getting not just 1 but 2 HUGE creatures that can just swallow anything on your opponent's board before combat even happens with annihilator 4 or 6.everything else either digs or protects your pieces.
