High defense creatures that stall agression and punish attackers(Wall of Essence), while you stall to get out your Assault Formation, turning your 0/4s into 4/4s. Defense combos very well with Profaner of the Dead and Scourge of Skola Vale. Shape the Sands for power bursts and fliers, in addition to pumping the Profaner and the Scourge. Abzan Beastmaster for pretty much guaranteed card draw. Blue and Gods Willing for control and hand sculpting.Side Note: the Sideboard is filled with cards I had considered, but decided against for one reason or another, please feel free to use it as ideas for your own decks :)
Stall, get one of each color mana, Sylvan Caryatid helps, in addition to fetch-land cards like Windswept Heath and Flooded Strand to help. The loss of life is easily countered with Nyx-Fleece Ram and Wall of Essence. Draw into Assault Formation using Anticipate or Abzan Beastmaster, while pumping defense with Chosen by Heliod, or by the Scry from Gods Willing. Bounce and counter(with Exile) anything too nasty with Void Snare and Dissipate. Strongly recommend saving Dissipate for board clear if vs. Black or White(sometimes blue too). You can bounce their entire board with Profaner of the Dead Exploiting a creature with a Chosen by Heliod on it, or by quick boosting with Shape the sands. Not invincible, but not weak and fairly fun, Enjoy.
