Deck discussion for Mono-Black Zombies in Standard

you run way too many playsets of cards that you only need to be 2 or 3 ofs

I disagree
What cards are you talking about?

I also disagree.
youhoo2645 short of tweaking 2 or 3 cards for no other reason then personal choice. This build is as tuned as it can be right now in the current standard meta. What would you suggest changing and why?

Dark salvation, liliana's mastery, & diregraf colossus. Should be trimmed for some more removal or card advantage. This deck seems very subpar ManiacalManiac since it runs cards that are usually dead on their own. If it were to trim some and add more cards that can stay live throughout the greater portion of a game would be better since they work at all stages of the game. I recommend dropping 2 salvation, 2-3 Liliana's mastery, and 1 diregraf colossus since they can be really dead if you run out of gas. Moving the 2 fatal push and 2 Lilianas from the side to the main should be rather helpful too. And then there are 1-2 flax slots for either hand disruption, card draw, or another removal spell.

I run Dark Salvation, Liliana's Mastery and Diregraf Colossus because of the Zombie Tokens that they generate.

Yes, but adding the cards I recommended should help you take over games more often. Yes getting those tokens feels nice, but there is a good chance they are just gonna flop to a boardwipe. Also, the added removal with the pushes and lillies make it easier to break down your opponent's creatures right before you swing in for lethal.

The cards you think should be cut (Salvation, Mastery, and Colossus) are the cards that "stay live throughout the greater portion of the game."
1. Dark Salvation can create a ton of zombies with all the extra mana you have late game
2. Mastery by itself is a late game card being 5 mana itself
and
3. Diregraf Colossus can be huge with all your dead zombies

At the pro tour this deck recently won it functioned more like an aggro deck not a attrition or grindy deck that wants to draw a ton of cards. It runs things like Transgress the mind in the sideboard to board in against control decks.

I strongly disagree (respectfully) especially with the Colossus which is might be possibly the best cards in the deck.

Youhoo2645, Do you/have you actually played Zombies in standard?
You're crazy if you think Mastery shouldn't be a 4 of. If it doesn't cause you to win the turn it enters by pumping your team it still really good value by putting 2 3/3 bodies into play for 5 mana.
If your board gets wrath'd in some way, Diregraf Colossus tends to be an amazing follow up since it usually enters with 3 or 4 counters then creates tokens to re stabilize.
Dark Salvation tends to be my favourite removal spell. Whenever I cast it, it builds my board at the same time. Having the ability to kill indestructible creatures is huge as well.
Liliana really isn't good in many match ups so it is a side board card. Same thing with Fatal Push, it's amazing but in standard it's not the same power house that it is in modern.

All I keep thinking about is a board of 3/3's attacking with menace!

Diregraf Colossus is probably even more useful, since Hour of Devastation (the card) is being used a lot. As ManiacalManiac pointed out, he's great after a board wipe
