Deck discussion for Defenders With Mana

Hi!
Tbh, it's kinda hard to see where you want to go with the deck. What are you trying to do?
Imma assume that you're getting tons of defenders out, then mill em?
Since that's what it seems like, here are some suggestions:
Take out Oracle of Nectars. You don't need it. Lifegain is more of sideboard stuff unless you're playing a lifegain deck.
I would take out the Sphinx for Assault Formation. It makes use of your defenders so that they can actually swing for damage.
I would also play 2x more Increasing Confusion, since that card is pretty good.

Hey! Thanks for commenting!

I'm trying to... Produce shitload of mana, draw a ton, and cast STUFFS!

Okay, there are a few ways to abuse 'em mana. Mindshrieker SPAM! Sphinx of Magosi SPAM! Gelatinous Genesis SPAM! Increasing Confusion SPAM!

I suppose I could do without Oracle... But I'm too lazy to take it out now and update the list here xD

I'm not looking to aggro, more of a mill or GELATINOUS SWARM strategy.

What do you mean? I HAVE 2 copies of Inceasing Confusion! :)

Yo.
When I said play 2x more Increasing Confusion, I meant add 2 more copies of Increasing Confusion.
Ok, so I get that Sphinx is pretty good. I haven't played it at all, so it might be better than I think. So, I would consider putting 2-3 copies of Assault Formation in the sb so that you got an alternate win-con just in case?
Also, could I make a copy of this deck, but my own take on it? I actually like this style of gameplay, so I kinda want to see what I could do with it.

Two more? Damn, I only have two copies! Haha! But it's good enough for now, it's the flashback that counts!

Sphinx is monstrous with the mana I have to spare for it, a big flyer with card advantage? Totally sick!

I don't own any Assault Formation at the moment, my decks on this account are all card-for-card copied from my existing decks. I was considering Helix Pinnacle but... a tad slow?

Hey go ahead! I'm glad it has inspired you in some way! I think this deck is an unorthodox take on UG... And it works!

Oh okay, didn't realize that this was a irl deck. But if you get the chance, try to get two more copies and an Assault Formation. UG has a weakness of having no removal, so a bunch of 2 mana "4/4s" will help with creature troubles.

If you got helix Pinnacle, I would throw one in, as like a just in case. If you and your opponent got nothing on the field and it's a battle for topdecks, you're gonna be applying a lot of pressure and you have a chance of winning. IT is slow, I will admit.

Okay thanks! I'll post one on here and link what I would do in this case soon.

Could always do away with Rapid Hybridization! Haha!

I want to believe that the 'battle of topdeck' won't really happen to me due to the amount of draw spells I have? I hope that's the case.

You're welcome, pal! :)

Actually, Rapid Hybridization might work, since, they can't get through your creatures.
Also makes them susceptible to Anger of the Gods, so maybe.

I hope so too, but sometimes it happens. I would sideboard Helix pinnacle if that's the case.

Hey! Sorry for the late response. I *finally* finished my take on the deck. Please note that it is not budget. It's different from yours, because I moved away from the Gelatinous Genesis or Mill em out path and straight up went mill them out with Increasing Confusion. I also have 1-of Assault Formation in the deck for an alt win-con.

I've taken a look at your recipe. It's always the lands that shoots the cost over the roof huh? xD

It's okay, play with peeps around our power level and we should do just fine! Although nowadays I prefer EDH.
