The owner of this deck hasn't added a sideboard, they probably should...

How to Play

The main plan is to use Ghost Council of Orzhova to sacrifice Dark Revenant for the GCoO proc, then re-play Dark Revenant for the Exort effect.

Teysa, Envoy of Ghosts enchanted with Gift of Orzhova, Obzedat, Ghost Council and Sorin, Lord of Innistrad are nice additions to make it work well in 1 on 1 battles aswell, and not just large battles.

Crypt Ghast ensures sufficient mana for all the Extort-ions.

Rhox Faithmender is in there to widen the gap in health points between me and my opponents.

Sunspring Expedition is a sweet life boost early-game.

Deck discussion for 514043

I am currently considering adding Urborg, Tomb of Yawgmoth and Cabal Coffers for the mana boost. But seeing as these are both expensive cards I will wait and first see just how well this deck works. I am also considering adding Elixir of Immortality, but I am not sure about what should be replaced, I want to keep this a 60 card deck.

I'd say remove sin collector (since this is an extort deck not an exile deck) and put in Elixir, replace dark revenant with Vampire Nighthawk, and replace Demon horn with tablet of the guilds (two color options same cost)

I've been considering removing Sin Collector, I guess I'll toss it out in favor of Elixir of Immortality.

I've got Dark Revenant in it to ensure Extort by saccing it with Ghost Council of Orzhova, that's a pretty important combo in this deck in my opinion. Why put in Vampire Nighthawk instead of Dark Revenant?

I wasnt aware you were going to use it for that but even then thats only one additional damage per turn in that case, Id say nighthawk over revenant because its cheaper drop, has higher toughness, is flying, deathtouch, and lifelink, a much more useful creature/blocker for less mana. I feel as though youd be better of running another Obzedat than Council of Orzhov as his effect does twice the work

Afaik you can only have one of each legendary creature on the battlefield at any given time. I can use Obzedat and Council at the same time, but I can't use two Obzedats at the same time.

You're saying that it's only 1 additional damage, but Dark Revenant ends up on the top of my library when killed/sacrificed, so I can play it again. That's easily 6 Extorts each turn.
