This is a combo deck.Stax pieces are definitely the things you don't want to see when playing this deck.Try to remove them the turn before trying to win.Even Rhystic Study is hard to handle for this deck.But there are plenty of ways to win with this deck.Counterspells have a hard time to keep up with each possible combo piece.My opinion is that it's a tier 8 deck.I've always wanted to build a deck with multiple options.I guess it became what I wanted :)
This is a combo deck.Each piece does work mostly in a few other combo's.Mainly the commander works as a combo piece, but not necessarily. BUT I KNOW, ALL COMBO'S ARE WITH 4 PIECES. I know, (not necessarily,) but it's that consistent that you'll be able to find 4 pieces to combo with, easily! Examples you ask? 4 combo's that let you draw your deck (with not necessarily always the same cards):For example:Have Birgi, God of Storytelling, Sai of the Shinobi and Koll, the Forgemaster on the board. Cast Insolent Neonate and let Sai of the Shinobi equip on it. Add R thanks to Birgi. Sacrifice Insolent Neonate to draw/loot. Insolent Neonate will go back to your hand thanks to Koll. Then recast Insolent Neonate with the floating mana of Birgi to repeat... Key cards that make it possible to draw your deck:Stone Haven OutfitterInsolent NeonateSkullclampSensei's Divining Top6 combo's that create infinite mana (with not necessarily always the same cards). For example:Have Skirk Prospector and Enduring Renewal in play. Cast Dockside Extortionist to create at least 2 treasures an sacrifice Dockside Extortionist to Skirk Prospector, to create 1 red mana. Now do this as often as you want. Key cards that make it possible to create infinite mana:Dockside ExtortionistBirgi, God of Storytelling Skirk ProspectorRunaway Steam-KinMyr MoonvesselPhyrexian Altar7 combo's that do infanite damage (with not necessarily always the same cards). With Clock of Omens you tap Magda and one other artifact to untap Magda. Because you tapped Magda, you create a TREASURE. Now tap Magda again and the TREASURE to untap Magda again and again. You can create infinite TREASURES. With Magda you can sacrifice TREASURES to cheat dragons and artifacts from your deck onto the battlefield. For consistency, I only summed up 8 combo's with all different pieces.The only consistant pieces you almost always need are Koll, the Forgemaster OR Enduring Renewal.With one of them is your commander.
