I rediscovered my pre-Modern Extended-format mill deck the other day. I say "rediscovered" because I honestly hadn't been aware that I even still HAD the deck, much less in one piece. After playing a few games with it (and even before that) I realized two things: 1.) Lorwyn block was the last time I updated the deck, and 2.) I've really learned a lot about deck-building and card-worth since then. Critique/comments welcome, especially since I've never actually played against other Modern decks so I have no idea what the format meta is like.

• I just wanna tell you how I'm feeling... • Gotta' make you understand... • Never gonna' give you up, • Never gonna' let you down, • Never gonna' run around and desert you... • Never gonna' make you cry, • Never gonna' say goodbye... • Never gonna' tell a lie and hurt you... Repeat 999999 times. Nice deck Mercedes! But I think you kinda needed Storm Crow there...

Touché, good sir. ;D
4 archive traps are needed mainboard. Every modern deck has many many search cards. Fetchlands are just the beginning!
I would also take out the queen(cute but slow), and the initiates for 4 extractions and a damnation. Makes for a scary deck to play against, as it can remove all of your threats quite easily.
I see your point about the Extraction/Damnation main deck. Plus, running less creatures means I care what happens to them less. What would you suggest for search? I have one Infernal Tutor, but other than that I'm not sure what exists for decent, fast search in the format. Do I want to be running a creature that hunts spells down? The first Liliana (though she seems slow to me)?
Not sure what I would change to make this better without playing with / against this deck, it looks quite solid. There is one trick I found with landfall while trying to make a pauper Boros deck and it could work with Hedron Crab too - a Dimir Aqueduct in hand and another in play. All you do is play one and return the other, that's one landfall trigger every turn :)
Ha! I was thinking about that. XD Might be a fun thing to play with, especially if the game drags out and/or a Hedron Crab survives the first few turns.
