Deck Description

Title of deck and contents of deck subject to alteration.

This is the deck I plan on taking to States this weekend. Just your standard G/B Zombie fare, nothing much unique about it (hence, no flavor).

I wish I had the time, I would totally tweak this and play around with cards beyond the standard build. Sadly, between a cold and other distractions, I get a total of ONE NIGHT of play-testing.

GO GO FNM! (I know, you all totally care. XD)

10/15/12 UPDATE: Adjusted the deck AND... went 1-3 drop. It was depressing. My only win was to a guy who lost first game due to an error on his deck registration form and second game after mulling to 5, keeping a 1 land hand, and scooping once he saw I was running Zombies and thus wouldn't be able to keep up.

However, my three losses? Two R/B Zombies and one Jund. All THREE won via F***ING VAMPIRE ARITOCRAT. >_< Needless to say, I kind of loathe that card right now. AND, also, setting this deck aside for a while. I'm kind of pissed at it.

Deck discussion for No Flavor at ALL (10/13/12 States - finished)

Desecration demon is not good for what your trying to do he's cool but they block with anything I feel like ultimate price has to have a better variant you can use probably murder since its sideboard anyone you need flexibility

Murder sounds nice because it's not limited to certain targets, but it's also not really worth being a sideboard card. Ultimate Price is for when I need to get rid of Angels, Demons (minus Rakdos himself, of course), and need that extra early kill for mono-colored decks (Humans, especially). With how fast Zombies needs to hit to do damage, the faster the kill, the better, and Murder is a turn too slow for my tastes.

If I had more time to adjust, I probably would switch to Jund. I had Pillar of Flame used against me in a near-mirror match and that little burn spell can really wreck me. :/

Desecration Demon would be kind of fun versus any deck that depends on just a few creatures to get through, though, you're right, he might just be a trap, especially if I'm not running heavier control/kill main deck. Hm...
