My Golgari-Deck works on two mechanics: threshold and dredge (and a little morbide) or one may just say one: the graveyard. This deck is only casual and diggs out some older cards that are fun to play in Golgari.Get some cards via dredge in your graveyard and bring them back through threshold.
So, how do i play this deck? I want to get some cards as soon as possible into my graveyard and develope as fast as possible. Maybe cast a Reaper from the Abyss in turn 3 with Cabal Ritual or Stitch together.I can start of with different cards to get there:Best scenario would be a Deathrite Shaman on turn 1, followed up with a Lotleth Troll in turn 2 and a discarded Golgari-Gravetroll in turn 3 upkeep. This way I got already 6 cards in my graveyard in turn 3 and with another discard already 7. -> First possibility to use thresholdOtherwise with Grisly Salvage on my opening hand i can get the criteria for threshold down fast enough.Even without Golgari-Gravetroll or Grisly Salvage there are enough other dredge cards to secure a full graveyard.Life from the Loam secures your mana base, Shambling Shell can be used as a fast blocker or be sacrificed to trigger the Reapers morbide effect.Taking some hits is no problem either. Sacrificing a Ghoultree with Disciple of Griselbrand or playing Gnaw to the Bones will gain enough lifepoints to keep the deck safe.If the defense of the opponent(s) is too strong I use Jarad to deal direct damage.I haven't found a good solution to secure the graveyard yet. But while playing casual and or multiplayer with friends nobody really focusses on graveyard exile :)Hope you enjoy the deck and if you have some advice i gladly accept it.
