Everything in this main deck I already have, some further additions I would trade in for weaker cards (like song of freyalise) if I had them are in the sideboard. A somewhat updated v2 of this deck can be found here, however it is purely theoretical and I have never tested it due to monetary reasons: https://www.mtgvault.com/mobiusone6/decks/mana-starved-communism-v2/
The idea is to sneak at least one or two enablers out (doubling season, anointed procession, cathars crusade, hardened scales, parallel lives, corpsejack menace, mazirek kraul death prist, winding constrictor) and always be ramping until you can play Ghave. Once you meet these two conditions you can try and abuse mana to increase your "board mass", which includes +1/+1 counters and raw token count. Then cast a finishing blow the next turn with Overrun or equivalent. The main problem is even with 2 or even 3 of those enablers it will still likely not be a game deciding blow when you finally activate Ghave's abilities and attempt to pop off unless you have at least 2 true doubling functionalites in play and something like ashnods altar, because you will burn through the mana too quickly and not have enough to deal a surprise finishing blow to someone. For that reason I tried everything in the book to improve the mana situation of this deck:1. Urban Burgeoning + flipped Growing Rites is my favorite combo for this, because you can increase your "board mass" during other players turns by a factor of 2 every players turn that passes if you have a token enabler out with Ghave. Upwelling allows mana storage until you need it if you are lucky enough to have all 3 out.2. Mana Reflection3. Mirari's Wake4. Everflowing chalice + Winding Constrictor/Doubling Season5. Cryptolith Rite (for turning creatures into tap lands)6. Ashnod's Altar (for turning creatures into "when creature dies" activations and mana)Draw engines help improve the mana situation a bit so I tried to fit as many as I could:1. Huatli's final ability2. Mentor of the Meek3. Dawn of Hope (I won some draft games with this boi don't underestimate him despite his expensive cost to generate a token)4. SkullclampHonestly it needs more draw engines... 4 is nowhere near enough. You are lucky to draw into two in a game, and they mostly have mana conditions to how they are activated, which limits their usability. Luckily our commander is pretty much self sufficient if you have any enabler on the field, but he likely won't be able to stay in power long without drawing stuff to protect him or press the attack. See the link to v2 of this deck above for more ideas related to dealing with this.Watch out for board wipes and enchantment sweeps. Be careful with Pernicious Deed/wait until you've already been board wiped to use it because it will kill all your tokens (they are all probably converted mana cost 0). Pernicious Deed is just too good of an instant speed removal to not include though. Not to mention you can just activate the ability again it if someone tries to counter the ability or destroy the enchantment before the ability resolves.Use that Heroic Intervention if you have it when you do get hit with a board wipe. Nothing you can really do about stuff like "exile all creatures" though. I'd like to include Eldrazi Monument or a few more something elses that gives all creatures invincible to stave off the lesser wipes but they're pricey in terms of irl cash and mana... Up to you if you want to include in your deck.Everything else is just kind of funzies graveyard recycling, upon creature death making opponents sac things, life gain, or value removal bait. Yeah its gonna generate a lot of hate, so be as diplomatic as you can early game. Doubling Season is pretty much removed within 1 turn of it entering play every time so keep that in mind. Its a 5drop too which SUCKS cause thats usually most of your mana, which means you can't play ghave in the same turn and surprise people. And if Ghave dies he gets more expensive which further constricts your utility of dropping 2 cards simultaenously as a surprise tactic as the game progresses. Unless the game has gone on long enough to the point you have a number of tokens already and Growing Rites of Itlimoc flipped with Urban Burgeoning on it, of course. ;)You also have next to nothing to deal with infect other than maybe ghave if you pump him enough, so F in chat if you come up against that. If its a flying or trample creature with infect you are probably gonna die.
