Deck Description

Black goblins! Every card here has the "Goblin" type, opening up the possibility for lots of shenanigans. Also, it's mono-black!

Prowl plays a major part of this deck's strategy. Even with very little mana, once this deck gets going it's hard to stop it. The Prowl mechanic appealed to me, and I've always liked Goblins. Besides, who expects to see a mono-black Goblin deck?

How to Play

Getting an early Frogtosser Banneret is key to winning quickly. Not only does it reduce the casting cost of every other card, it is a good way to surprise your opponent for some rogue damage and set off Prowl. There's nothing like pulling out a Stinkdrinker Bandit or Auntie's Snitch for just B.

The most brutal card has to be Fodder Launch. You can kill most creatures with it, and it also deals 5 to your opponent's face. This often opens up the opponent's side of the field enough to let a few goblins through for more Prowl shenanigans. This is best played when they are just starting to be able to handle your goblin horde. Finish off with a Morsel Theft to really make them cry.

Warren Wierding is most often useful for slowing down your opponent pulling out creatures. With the Frogtosser out, it costs B to irrevocably slaughter a creature (indestructible, regenerating, whatever). It can also provide more fuel if you need extra goblins. Casting this on Auntie's Snitch is not a waste; if one of the tokens gets through for damage, you get your Snitch right back, ready to be Prowled out!

Finally, Boggart Birth Rite will give you back any card in the entire deck for just B. Did they burn your Stinkdrinker Bandit away? Make them have to do it again. Need just 5 more damage to finish them off? Get your Fodder Launch back for an explosive finish. This really makes the deck versatile.

Deck discussion for Goblin Rogues

Not bad but would be definitively faster with some red in it! I have 2 Goblin's deck and I think both are fasters! Feel free to take a look and comment! xD

Thanks for the comment! You're right, I could get more power more quickly from red. I like the Prowl mechanic, though, and also the idea of a black goblin deck (nobody suspects it)! I want to keep the cost ($) down too, if I can.

I've been playing with a couple of Boggart Mobs in there, and I like the results. I can get out more goblins pretty quickly that way, so long as I have a Frogtosser to get the mob out early enough and can get in a couple of hits with my Fear goblins. Those tokens can be pretty scary when each one that slips past defenders duplicates itself, and they provide great fuel for my Warren Weirding or Fodder Launch!

Love Goblin decks and never realized there were enough black goblin cards to make a mono black deck. Awesome idea! +1
