Inspired by Modern Infect, Modern Double Strike attempts to win with the exact same 10-damage mentality while using your opponent's fetching/shocking to your advantage. I'm an amateur player who has been brewing this deck for 2 years, and this is the newest iteration.
Much like infect, the idea here is to get Fencing Ace to ridiculous power levels with cheap pump spells. Also much like infect, you want to win on turn 3 or so, as the deck does not get better with time. - Revenge of the Hunted wins games on its own, and has been hilarious in play testing. I assume infect rarely uses it because of inconsistency, and it's a tragedy.- Bushi Tenderfoot is a surprise powerhouse, as Kenzo is devastating when he flips. This makes the lowly Tenderfoot great on block, and/or basically unblockable on attack with pump spells in your hand. - Noble Hierarch is perfectly elegant here (as usual), and the deck's best turn-1.- Predator's Strike is here instead of Might of Old Krosa. Without Blighted Agent to lean on, trample is at a higher premium and worth the extra colorless.
