[u]Basic Idea[/u]I was rather surprised to see multi-coloured commons in Strixhaven and the more so when I found [[Blood Researcher]]. I immediately though of [[Ajani's Pridemate]] tough the colours where different, but black has it's share of life gain/ drain spells and green can at least add [[Essence Warden]].[u]Tests[/u]I have tested this deck against other pauper decks. The decks I tested against are a mixture of Control and Aggro and the result are recorded in a spreadsheet. If you're interested in details from the spreadsheet, feel free to ask. I'm open to all suggestions and ideas that may help to improve this deck.
The small life gain in this deck is key to the strategy: [[Essence Warden]], [[Vault Skirge]], [[Pristine Talisman]], [[Trespasser's Curse]] and [[Ill-Gotten Inheritance]] each gain you 1 life when something happens. Combine this with [[Blood Researcher]] and [[Marauding Blight-Priest]] and you've got yourself a deck that can gain life, thus surviving longer, and use this to pump up a creature or drain your opponent to defeat.
