[u]Basic Idea:[/u]The basic idea for this deck came from wickeddarkman's "classcombo & strike" deck (https://www.mtgvault.com/wickeddarkman/decks/classcombo-strike/) I simply wanted to see with what I would come up, when using the combo of [[Putrid Goblin]], [[Skirk Prospector]], [[First Day of Class]] and anything that burns lots of mana. [u]Tests[/u]I have tested this deck against other pauper decks. The decks I tested against are a mixture of Control and Aggro and the result are recorded in a spreadsheet. If you're interested in details from the spreadsheet, feel free to ask. [u]Conclusions from the tests[/u]The test made one weakness of the deck very clear: [[Goblin Matron]] can search for [[Skirk Prospector]] or [[Putrid Goblin]], but if you're missing [[First Day of Class]] or your finisher [[Kaervek's Torch]]/ [[Rolling Thunder]] then you have to wait and hope for the best. Perhaps I'm going to drop some [[Village Rites]] or even some [[Unearth]] (sideboard the rest of course) for some [[Sign in Blood]] or [[Read the Bones]]I'm open to all suggestions and ideas that may help to improve this deck.
This deck is a combo deck, meant to generate a huge amount of mana and finish your opponent with a single [[Kaervek's Torch] or [[Rolling Thunder]]. To generate this mana you need [[Skirk Prospector]] and [[Putrid Goblin]]] in play and [[First Day of Class]] in your hand. Play Class, sacrifice Putrid into Prospector for 1 red mana. Putrid now comes back with a -1/-1 counter due to his persist ability and a +1/+1 counter due to Class. Those two counters cancel each other out and are removed (See official rulebook 122.3. for details) thus Putrid can be sacrificed again to gain another red mana, and so on. [[Boot Nipper]] and [[Venomous Changeling]] help you to stay alive. A earlc Boot Nipper should normaly better be given the lifelink counter and attack as long as its safe, and generate life for your, while a late-game normally better gets the deathtouch counter. Remember that Venomous Changeling can be searched for when you play a [[Goblin Matron]], sou you can still make use of the Matron when you have Prospector and Putrid.

the current goblin combo decks in the meta run Flamewave invoker over torch so it can be tutored with matron, as well as a shred memory to find the other pieces if necessary. if the deck is trying to the combo first and foremost, you should definitely go 4 of on all of the combo pieces i think.

Thank you hipponox for the information on Flamewave Invoker, I did remove [[Kaervek's Torch]] to add the Invoker, and uped the number of Goblin Matron by 1. I'm not so sure if you really need 4 Skirk Prospector and 4 Flamewave Invoker, especially when using Goblin Matron to search for the and Unearth tu bring them back from the gaveyard. No, I did not overlook Flamewave Invoker, I was searching for a different wording (deal damage all creatures)The Shred Memory was/ is in the maybeboard due to it's transmute ability. It would be able to search for Putrid Goblin and especially Rolling Thunder.
