Dark Petition is almost always gonna be better than Beseech, unless you're talking some kind of cEDH deck where you need to Dark Ritual-->Beseech for some turn 3 combo win.Skullclamp for all those tokens?Sudden Spoiling is a great card period, but here it makes it so much easier to kill guys.

mikaeus, the unhallowed would be a great card to put in here(there is a static rule where if a card has both a -1/-1 and a +1/+1 counter both are removed)also melira prevents you from getting snakes from your creatures and prevents you from using a lot of your cards (carnifex, channeler initiate, devoted druid, ect... )
