Deck Description

Tried a different approach to negating the enemies' destructive spells and abilities. This deck lets you trade for the spells, get your chimera back, and feed the spell to the Nivmagus Elemental... if you don't want to just use it against the enemy.

How to Play

Sakura-Tribe Scout can ramp you enough to play the Chimera relatively early, but its main purpose is for getting Homeward Path out punctually. The Map and Tolaria West should guarantee getting the Path early. You trade the Chimera for any threat spells against you or your teammates and either use it against them, feed it to the Nivmagus Elemental, or counter it with a Spiketail if it's not an instant or sorcery spell. If you need extra coverage, use Urban Burgeoning, the Prophet, or the Follower to have an extra use of the Path or extra ramp. Beast Within is there to remove any threats you didn't counter.

The sideboard has some former ideas for backup removal if non-instant/non-sorcery spells are played and have negative outcomes if not hindered immediately.
