Tokens! That's really it... Tokens are the name of the game here. If done right, your own boardwipes can help you maintain your fiend. Rhys the Redeemd with darksteel plate and Martial coup for instance. This deck can have some unrivaled turn around time against Cards like Damnations and Wrath of god as well, thought it is a bit slow to build and can be hampered by control to a point.
