Deck Description

Yea, yea, I've not been around for a while. Sorry. Jada, jada, jada...

I've personally always liked Monstrosity-mechanic. I would like to see more black-colored "monsters" as well as creatures which are not completely based around the mechanic itself (such as "as long as this bad boy is monstrous, etc..."), but otherwise I really like it. I made this deck in honor of those little fellas and their cool abilities. Especially Sinuous Vermin has always been close to heart for me.

I mostly use MTG Vault for my own private projects nowadays, but feel free to comment or request a deck of your choice. I've loved the Vault so far, and I like that they are still improving on it, as well as I am improving on my English language skills.

So, if you like what you see, consider checking out some of my other budget-y work from the link below.

How to Play

This deck is a rather simple casual deck: drop creatures, then hold out until you can start dominating the battlefield with card-efficient Monstrosity-abilities and some nasty kill-spells.

Skull Prophet and Primal Druid offer you with a snappy boost to your early game. Skull Prophet can constantly either provide you with mana or fill up your graveyard so you can start looking targets for cards like Profane Command of Vigor Mortis, while Primal Druid is a solid blocker against more aggressive decks. In addition to these, Sinious Vermin can be used as an early game dude and can be buffed up later on to get a bigger monster.

Domesticated Hydra, Grakmaw and Spitting Slime are your meanest beaters in this deck, so try to use them to render foes asunder. Their abilities allow them to grow gradually, while they can also be buffed with Hydra's Growth and kept alive with Inspiring Call.

The sideboard offers you with special strategies against certain opponents. Acidic Slime is very handy against foes with annoying artifacts or enchantments, while Tuskguard Captain makes your biggest beaters just a tiny bit meaner. If Vigor Mortis and Profane Command are not enough to hold foes back, use Regrowth to grab some additional cards from your 'yard. Essence Harvest helps a lot if your opponent either runs a whole ton of blockers or uses aggressive cards to damage your face constantly. Lastly, Savage Summoning helps beat down the most controlling foes.

Deck discussion for BD: My little Monster

+1
[[Biomancer's Familiar]] comes to my mind, when seeing the costs you have to pay to get creatures monstrous, but it needs blue and thus is out of your current colour-combination. Simic Ascendancy would be another of those out-of-combination cards.
Corpsejack Menace (or even Winding Constrictor) could be worth a look to increase the efficiency of the monstrous ability's.

I don't think I've ever noticed deathsprout before.
I really like the art of it, and the flavortext with vraska is golden considering that she's a medusa.

I think sinuous vermin ties into the legend about rat-kings.

Thank you for your comments! Pleasure seeing that others enjoy this deck theme as well!
As for the Muktol's card suggestions, I'll see what I can do.
