Deck Description

Do not mistake this deck to be focusing on the 'Ally' creature type.
I merely decided to craft a series of ally-colored decks with a lot of newbie friendliness! If you are unfamiliar with what "ally-colored" means, let me explain it to you:

Since the game of MTG is separated into five different colors, each and every one of them provides the game with their own unique aspects. The colors can be aligned into a "color wheel" which explains their co-operations and clashes with other colors. The wheel could be visioned as following (apologies for the poor image quality):
https://static.wikia.nocookie.net/mtgsalvation_gamepedia/images/e/e1/Color_Wheel.jpg/revision/latest?cb=20060415063339

So, colors aligned next to each other (Red and Green, for example,) could be called ALLIED colors, because they share some of the same aspects between each other. The colors on the opposite sides of the wheel are called ENEMY colors, since the themes they include clash with each other more than with the allied colors. This doesn't mean that enemy-colored decks cannot be made, but the themes and synergies between allied colors are often easier to grasp. In conclusion, utilize this knowledge pondering the colors when crafting your decks!

This is a Budget Deck (BD for short). It is meant primarily for casual play, and its estimated mid value is aimed to land between 10 and 20 US dollars at most. Take this detail into consideration when browsing the deck!

I mostly use MTG Vault for my own private projects nowadays, but feel free to comment or request a deck of your choice. I've loved the Vault so far, and I like that they are still improving on it, as well as I am improving on my English language skills.

So, if you like what you see, consider checking out some of my other budget-y work from the link below.

How to Play

Time to get sneaky!

This Dimir-colored deck loves to deal damage to your opponent with some nasty creatures. Many of them have handy effects which trigger as soon as you either attack or deal damage to an opponent, which is why you should be keeping your eyes constantly open for possibilities to do so. When needed, you can also take out enemy blockers using a multitude of tap-effects as well as kill spells!

If you wish to ponder options to develop this deck further, some a provided in the sideboard: Removing 2x Audacious Thief and 2x Open into Wonder allow you to add 2x Fallowsage and 2x Verity Circle, which both shift this deck towards tapping-oriented deck. If you wish to embrace your inner thief, you can do so by adding 4x Covetous Urge and 3x Extract from Darkness, while removing 3x Sleep, 2x Open into Wonder and 2x Audacious Thief. Last but not least, you can add 3x Covetous Urge and 4x Psychic Strike at the cost of 3x Sleep and 4x Aether Tunnel in order to make yourself more capable at manipulating your enemies via control-effects.

Before we head into the statistics, let's see what a player needs to know before playing this deck:
- Flying. A flying creature cannot be blocked by creatures without flying: you can dish out damage straight through their defenses!
- "Counter target spell". This deck includes effects that can counter spells currently being cast. If an effect counters a spell, it is put straight into the graveyard instead of battlefield. None of its effects will happen, save those which mention "whenever you cast a spell". Also note that any and all cards excluding lands are spells while a player is casting them, so feel free to counter instant, sorcery, enchantment, artifact, planeswalker or creature spells, unless an effect states otherwise!
