Now this is a deck that can be played both as an Archenemy or as a regular deck. Now that's interesting!Chuck a stone, chuck another! This deck performs well as an all-around mono red control, blowing up enemy creatures as soon as they show up. Tectonic Reformation and Seismic Assault both can offer you ways to use your lands in creative ways, not to mention that they can always be discarded to Fissure Wizard and Magmatic Insight for replacement cards. My first thought was; when playing this deck as the Archenemy, I would want somethings to protect me against aggressive decks like you said. Circle of Flame and Aether Membrane/Wall of Razors come to mind.

I tried to cover that side by using cards like Jaws of Stone and Magmaquake. The schemes included in the suggested scheme deck also include a LOT of removal to buy you time to unleash your bigger spells and synergies.
