Deck Description

Oh, those silly vampires with their bloodstained festivities!

This is a Budget Elder Dragon Highlander deck (BEDH). It is meant for the Elder Dragon Highlander format, a.k.a. Commander. If you are not familiar with the format, I'll link it below for you.

I mostly use MTG Vault for my own private projects nowadays, but feel free to comment or request a deck of your choice. I've loved the Vault so far, and I like that they are still improving on it, as well as I am improving on my English language skills.

How to Play

Edgar's price trend doesn't show up on this website. His average price is between 0.97-1.11 dollars at the moment of this deck's creation.

This handsome young-ish groom sure is an exciting commander to play with! Upon his death, Edgar merely takes a nap in his coffin before returning, as strong as ever! I decided to take a silly spin with this deck and include a lot of +1/+1 counter cards as well as proliferation, partially to speed up Edgar's recovery time in the process!

So yea, this deck brings +1/+1 counters, lifegain, some sacrificial elements and Vampire tribal all under a single commander. Some may say I'm stretching it too far, but hey, that's what makes deckcrafting interesting! Make sure to leave comments down below to let me know what you think of this silly deck theme!

Statistics, pros and cons. Consider reading these, especially if you are a newbie!

Statistics: (out of 5)
- Deck Speed: <><><> (How quick the deck is?)
- Creature Focus: <><><><> (How much this deck relies on creatures?)
- Creature Size: <><><> (How big are the main creatures of this deck?)
- Card Synergy: <><><><> (Do the cards of the deck help out each other well?)
- Card Value: <><><> (How much card advantage can you get out of your cards?)
- Level of Complexity: <><><> (How hard this deck is to properly play?)

Pros:
+ A quite versatile build; capable of unleashing an array of aggressive creatures, holding down opponents with removal, bouncing back from boardwipes and regaining life constantly against faster opponents.
+ Your commander is (technically) unkillable without artifact removal.

Cons:
- Well placed removals may harm your strategy by picking off creatures with lots of +1/+1 counters on them. Be careful!
- Overextension is your enemy, as with most tribal decks anyway. Play smart!
