Deck Description

Tossing stones or stoned tossers, amirite?

This is a Budget Elder Dragon Highlander deck (BEDH). It is meant for the Elder Dragon Highlander format, a.k.a. Commander. If you are not familiar with the format, I'll link it below for you.

I mostly use MTG Vault for my own private projects nowadays, but feel free to comment or request a deck of your choice. I've loved the Vault so far, and I like that they are still improving on it, as well as I am improving on my English language skills.

So, if you like what you see, consider checking out some of my other budget-y work from the link below.

How to Play

I've always adored the "Geomancer" archetype most out of all mono red flavors - the idea of someone using the strength of mountains itself instead of fire and lightning to embolden theirselves and destroy their opponents is just so damn cool. Well, this deck tries to take a silly spin on the idea while remaining faithful to the basic concept of geomancery.

Play cards that enjoy lands (and rocks, for that matter) to constantly deal damage to opponents. Toggo provides you with a continous supply of damage output while Alena can burst out extra mana in case you need some for your spellcasting.

HIDDEN TECH: Try to get your hands on both Kazuul's Toll Collector and Golem-Skin Gauntlets / Bearded Axe (plus preferably one of your many trample-enablers). Drop the collector, the slam the Gauntlets / Axe and a WHOLE BUNCH OF ROCKS on him. They'll never see it coming.

Deck discussion for BEDH: Goblinoid Geomancery

I've brewed a Toggo deck in the past and found Reality Scramble on a rock to be something worth considering. Indomitable Creativity too, but that's probably not a budget card anymore. Something fun to consider at least.

Maybe the newer card Audacious Reshapers ? Not sure if this stuff is on theme, but trading out a rock for a key equipment could be nice.
