Deck Description

I will make a deck around all the monocolored elder dinosaurs, and you can't stop me! Here's the second, I'll link the rest below:

This is a Budget Elder Dragon Highlander deck (BEDH). It is meant for the Elder Dragon Highlander format, a.k.a. Commander. If you are not familiar with the format, I'll link it below for you.

I mostly use MTG Vault for my own private projects nowadays, but feel free to comment or request a deck of your choice. I've loved the Vault so far, and I like that they are still improving on it, as well as I am improving on my English language skills.

So, if you like what you see, consider checking out some of my other budget-y work from the link below.

How to Play

Now we are getting interesting: Nezahal mill!

Remember now: milling isn't too much of a viable strategy in EDH, which is why you should pay close attention to which enemies to mill and which you shouldn't. Several of this deck's cards can mill all your opponents at once, but always try to mill the player with the most capabilities for a long game - if you happen to get stuck with the two of you, you'll likely be able to squeeze out the necessary mill to finish them off then. Consider beating someone down as well, using Nezahal as well as several big creatures to dwindle down their hit points. In most games, you can also let someone else do the heavy lifting for you!

This deck is all about having Nezahal on board for the most of the game. Once they splash in, it becomes a difficult task to get rid of them when they bounce out of harm's way easily. The easiest way to handle him is to fire several instant-speed removals targeting them so you can't dodge them all via discarding. Thankfully this deck runs a lot of countermagic for these situations.

Nevertheless, if you manage to keep Nezahal on board, the game becomes quite easy: their big body can prevent many attackers from getting through and they constantly spam your hand with card advantage. Use these cards to fuel your other schemes, including constant milling and playing big sea monsters.
