Deck Description

Tormod's Crypt has been quite my pet card for years now. I've included it in so many decks that my friends have called me 'Tormod' for it.
Well, here's for my "namesake"!

This is a Budget Elder Dragon Highlander deck (BEDH for short). It is meant for the Elder Dragon Highlander format, a.k.a. Commander. If you are not familiar with the format, I'll link it below for you.
https://mtg.fandom.com/wiki/Commander_(format)

I mostly use MTG Vault for my own private projects nowadays, but feel free to comment or request a deck of your choice. I've loved the Vault so far, and I like that they are still improving on it, as well as I am improving on my English language skills.

So, if you like what you see, consider checking out some of my other budget-y work from the link below.

How to Play

Tormod cares about cards leaving your graveyard.
Use different ways to drag creatures screaming back from the dead as well as pull back some nasty spells for round two!

Try to utilize counterspells in order to prevent your opponents from disrupting your graveplay. Swarm the board with zombies as well as creatures benefitting from your graveyard, then lay down a beating like there's no tomorrow!

Deck discussion for BEDH: My Boy and His Crypt

Reassembling skeleton so you can get zombies with Tormod?

I've become quite fond of tormod's cryptkeeper.
In a deck where you reanimate, you can actually opt to reanimate the cryptkeeper to fight other reanimate decks.

It is true. I've seen the card a couple of times now and considered greatly to put it in my decks. So far I've been unlucky, but I'll seriously consider it in a nearby future.

It will be a pretty rare event of course. A bigger creature might be the better trade, and if they have reanimate you might want to reanimate their stuff.

But apart from that, I like the card, and it hints at the secret of tormod, whatever that is :)

Hey, Northern! It's been a couple of years since I've been here.
You would have known me before as s0rinmark0v.

I'm back. I lost the account that my original account was tied to because it was an old, OLD school email that was deleted about a decade ago.

Good to see you're still making heaps of decks. I look forward to working with you again.

Good to hear from you again then!
I've had a quite passive week, but otherwise you can be sure to run into my decks in the future!

You could switch out Undying malice for Undying evil, if you wanted the creature untapped. But it might collide with some other +1/+1 counters.
Bloodghast might be a nice inclusion.

Bloodghast might be a teeny bit outside of my budget, but I want to thank you nevertheless for your suggestion!
Undying Evil is also a classic, and since its price trend has lived quite a lot along the years, I've decided it might be smartest to leave outside my decks, at least for now.
