Deck Description

The path of progress is sometimes painful, but a necessary one to tread.

This is a Budget Elder Dragon Highlander deck (BEDH for short). It is meant for the Elder Dragon Highlander format, a.k.a. Commander. If you are not familiar with the format, I'll link it below for you.

I mostly use MTG Vault for my own private projects nowadays, but feel free to comment or request a deck of your choice. I've loved the Vault so far, and I like that they are still improving on it, as well as I am improving on my English language skills.

So, if you like what you see, consider checking out some of my other budget-y work from the link below.

How to Play

Naomi might seem like a tad weak commander at the first sight, but I assure you:
she can be quite interesting to build and play around!

So lets deconstruct Naomi to her basics: she enjoys 1) artifacts, 2) enchantments and (3) entering the battlefield as well as attacking. This deck attempts to enable all these three points, while providing some utility to take the most out of Naomi's peculiar set of abilities.

Artifacts and enchantments can be self-explainatory, so let's cut to the ETB-/attacking-part. Once Naomi is on the field, you can use instants such as Supernatural Stamina and Undying Malice or even enchantments like Kaya's Ghostform and Unholy Indenture to perform ultimately three things, sometimes all at once:
- Enabling Naomi to stick around despite enemy killing spells.
- Enabling her to re-enter the battlefield, thus generating even more tokens.
- Enabling you to attack with Naomi with little risk, once again allowing you to generate more tokens.

Once Naomi is around with her gang of tokens, use several ways to take advantage of these bad boys:
- Sacrifice tokens to fuel card draw engines such as Vampiric Rites.
- Fuel Bloodflow Connoisseur's endless lust for blood.
- Assemble massive group attacks with buffed creatures via Spear of Heliod, Dictate of Heliod, Call for Unity and perhaps even Retreat to Emeria or Valor in Akros.

This deck even contains a singular INFINITE COMBO:
Angelic Renewal + Shepherd of the Cosmos + Bloodflow Connoisseur
= Infinite ETB-triggers, death-triggers and +1/+1 counters for the Connoisseur. Perhaps combine this all with Dreadhound or Valor in Akros?

- Requires several different pieces to function well: artifacts, enchantments and cards to synergize with the tokens.
- Semi-vulnerable to graveyard-hate.
