Deck discussion for Budget Decks: Choices, Choices

Maybe Teleportal, just so you can get even more crazy damage with those Nivix Cyclops. I guess Artful Dodge does the same thing, but I think that the Overload makes it better.

I just don't like the mana cost of it... But I'm showing it up to the sideboard.

Another fun deck northy!

I this deck should be able to run cruse, seeing as it just got bannhammered and is worth nothing, and provides a deck like this with the gas it needs, AND fits flaour wise because you have to CHOOSE what you want to exile from the grave :P

Hey Northy. I know you are a very busy man on here.
I requested a white mono budget deck.
I think I may of made one myself...that will work, it is over 20 dollars...but not by much.
Can you check it out and see what I need to add/delete/change?

Hey, I've been a huge fan of your budget deck series, it has inspired me to create a deck building series as way to introduce new players to Modern. The first deck of the series is up at http://www.mtgvault.com/rickell/decks/budget-decks-werewolves/. If you could check it out it would be awesome to have a veteran budget deck builder give their opinion.

Sorry to post in your comments section, but mtgvault really needs to have a message user feature :(.

Don't worry mate. I'll allow people to "advertise" on my decks. It is okay.

You think guttersnipe could fit in this deck? Also I think distortion strike might be a bit better than artful dodge (maybe more expensive though).

I can see your point with Guttersnipe.
Distortion Strike is a good suggestion too, but I just enjoy that you can cast Artful Dodge twice during the same turn, granting more effect on Kiln Fiends, Wee Dragonauts and Cyclopses.

Thanks for suggesting!

true never thought about that doubling effect

I like this deck I have something similar where I combo nivix cyclops, brute force, and teleportal for a nice 11/7 unblockable thump. Problem is most my friends know this now and tend to not let my cyclops hang around for very long....

But looking at artful dodge I think I am going to swap out the teleportals for it. Will do more damage for the same mana cost, just need the two blue.

Chandra's spitfire has always made me very happy. I love it vs. nivix cyclops, you get the benefit of flying in the mix.

Hey, just busted out a new EDH deck. It's fresh, but I'm wanting to build it on paper so hoping to get any thoughts/ideas you may have. Check it out, given a minute of free time?

Shu Yun, the Silent Tempest would make any creature in this deck stupid strong or is a light version of the rest of the creatures.

Hey Northy, i got a pretty cool challenge, make a budget deck around manifest and cards like Eater of days. Because 4 mana 9/8 flying trample is balanced. xD

Im my casual group someone oppend a stifle and made a deck aroud leveler, not budget but realy fun (we played without counter magic), so i thought that manifest could replace stifle (and the high price if the deck)
