Deck discussion for Budget Decks: Imprisoned

I'd replace Ghostplace Eidolon with extra Arrest and Oblivion Ring :)

But otherwise, damn this deck is good XD

How about Sphere of Safety? and maybe throw in 1 heliod just cuz he combos well w/ sphere of safety.

Instead of Fencing Ace, I'd recommend Soldier of the Pantheon. It sort of combos with the enchantment theme.

While I must unfortunately say this was not what I meant by Prison, it is quite a wonderful deck all the same. All in all, I'm satisfied. Well done my friend.

I thank you while I feel sorry at the same time. I'm still getting used to some of the MTG's terms.

That's quite alright. Prison is a lesser known form of control magic, and I'm not entirely sure it can be done on a low budget, or at least as low as you aim to go...Though you have surprised us all on more than one occasion.

Non-EDH Oloro? Guess I could try...

0

I wanted it, I did it.

You can find it with name: "Budget Decks: Oloro Trololo".

0

WTF is EDH? Old term for commander?

0
Posted 31 July 2014 at 14:57

Kind of. It stands for Elder Dragon Highlander. Essentially it is an older form of commander, but might have some slightly different rules. Mind you I don't play either so I couldn't tell you what the differences in the rules are. Sherrie explained it to me once, but it has been a while.

commander is wizards of the coast version of edh they are pretty much the same thing

0
Posted 01 August 2014 at 15:47

I can't find difference between EDH and Commander. To me, they are both one and the same.

0
Posted 01 August 2014 at 18:11

Indeed, they differ only in name.

eidolon of countless battles would be great if you can fit him

0

I guess I can fit at least one.

0

y u gotta be so Arrest over Pacifism? Is Arrest really worth it for that extra mana and getting dat pithing needle in?

0
Posted 23 July 2014 at 16:57

Well I would prefer to arrest a 0/2 "tap target creature unless target creature's controller pays two life". But that's just littile old me.

What about sphere of safety?

0
Posted 23 July 2014 at 18:02

BlackRazz suggested it too...
I dunno, since you lock down your opponent's best attackers anyway...
Guess I can add couple of them...

This is ur deck do as u please with it. Don't let others pressure u to do stuff. Although I also am for concidering others opinions.

0
Posted 25 July 2014 at 01:59

Agreed. :)

0
Posted 25 July 2014 at 05:19

I would run pacifism over arrest, because it's cheaper and you already have prison term for pesky ability-users.

You are right... bootsncatsn also asked for it...

0

I just have one thing to say. wow I like this deck. Very cheap and looks fun

0

Thanks!
That's what I'm mostly trying in here. I want to create cheap decks that players can build or use as a source of inspiration.

0
Posted 27 July 2014 at 06:50

I am actually inspired to build something like this. It is a funny deck good job cheers mate. I wonder if splashing some red would do more shenanigans???

0
Posted 28 July 2014 at 10:51

I'm not sure if it is wise here, but guess I could make a whole new version of this, including red.

0

err sorry I meant *red or blue. thank you for the reply though!

Nooooooooooo! Y u get rid of arrest? It is soooooo worth it! Please put at least three in. Or mabey u could side board it.

1
Posted 30 July 2014 at 14:04

I really wanted to have them for both flavor and effect, but I was requested to take them away by multiple persons.
I understand your pain.

0
Posted 31 July 2014 at 08:57

I second that. Arrest is so great in a prison deck.

0
Posted 31 July 2014 at 03:33

prison term is better

1
Posted 31 July 2014 at 03:44

No! Arrest is the azorius way. I'd use merseine before I'd use prison term! YOU PRESERED THIS POOR MAN!

1

I seriosly love Arrest myself.

0

I'm with Vaan, prison term IS better ... but arrest should still be here. :)

0

Of course Prison Term is better, yeah, but I like Arrest more.

This deck is super cool! I like the idea of enchantments being the main focus with some low cost creatures with good abilities getting beefed up a lot and then people not being able to stop them all of a sudden. For once they were weak but in a few turns they become so mighty its ridiculous

Have you done a deck with the creature ability Inspired yet? It would follow this deck somewhat since you get the inspired creatures enchanted with things that make them tap so they don't have to fight directly but yet do some crazy interesting effects.

1
Posted 05 August 2014 at 16:59

Actually, that's a great idea. I haven't done any Inspired decks yet.

0
Posted 05 August 2014 at 19:32

Consider yourself "inspired" to do so. :)

1
Posted 06 August 2014 at 00:15

I like Inspired. very interesting ability. I built a deck for it, but I think the ability itself can be done better than did it.

1
Posted 06 August 2014 at 05:59

I agree with Kazzong. Inspired can be pretty handy ability.
...and HokeyPokey, as I've said before, you always know what to say.
: )

Made it. Budget Decks: Inspired is now online.

0

Sweet, I was going to suggest that kind of deck.

0
Posted 06 August 2014 at 14:22

perhaps you could also make a constolation deck? I find the ability to be very interesting, and much more useful then inspired.

0

Constellation?
I've used it in my decks, but I haven't created a deck based on it yet... Sounds worthwhile...

0
Posted 06 August 2014 at 19:13

lols, yeah, Constellation, thats what i ment... and thxs for taking my idea into consideration.

0

I made it, and it looks great! It is completely standard too!
