Deck Description

Are you bored? Does Magic: The Gathering feel old and vapid? Got any useless bucks in your bank account? Ladies and Gentlemen, I have solution.
Use your bank account on nearest MtG marketplace website and buy some cheap cards, craft a deck, and challenge your friends! To double the fun, ask your friend to create such a deck too!
The Budget Decks -series is meant for your free time! These are meant to inspire you, and deck's value is meant to be low! (Between 10 and 20 bucks.)

How to Play

Well, this is an Illusion deck that even Jace can be proud of!
Cheap, and still pretty elegant and effective.
Use Illusions and control-spells to keep the battlefield under control.

-Phantasmal Bear and Gossamer Phantasm make sure that you always have small illusion in your opening hand.
-Lord of the Unreal and Krovikan Mist both are also great, not only in the opening hand, but in late game too!
-Jace's Mindseeker and Draining Whelk are your late-game strikers. They can both cause huge devastation to your opponent's game when played. Draining Whelk takes away annoying spells or creatures while Jace's Mindseeker can make you play your opponent's best spells.
-Divination and Flow of Ideas make sure that you always have something to play.
-Sleep gives you some time against aggro decks.

Very slick deck, Northy! I don't normally play blue so I can't offer many suggestions, but what I understand of the combos looks really nice! A+ Deck!

What about jace's phantasm?

I don't know. Many other illusions do the job just fine, this deck doesn't contain milling, and Jace's Phantasm's value in money is something about 1 dollar...

This deck looks like tons of fun i'll have to try it sometime. I think it'd be better if there was 1 Flow of Ideas in favour for another Krovikan Mist.

One thing that can make this deck even better would be phantasmal image. You can use it on their creatures or you can copy lord of the unreal and they can not touch your illusions.

Two times same suggestion?
As I already said before, Phantasmal Image is great, but too priceful.
