Deck Description

Are you bored? Does Magic: The Gathering feel old and vapid? Got any useless bucks in your bank account? Ladies and Gentlemen, I have solution.
Use your bank account on nearest MTG marketplace website and buy some cheap cards, craft a deck, and challenge your friends! To double the fun, ask your friend to create such a deck too!
The Budget Decks -series is meant for your free time! These are meant to inspire you, and deck's value is meant to be low! (Between 10 and 20 bucks.)

How to Play

Inspired by pain42.

The main combo of this deck is to get as huge toughness to one of your creatures as possible, and the wreck havoc by casting Kin-Tree Invocation.
You can create a neat combo by combining the effects of Kin-Tree Invocation, Spellweaver Helix and Raven's Crime, which is easy to cast again and again. With all that card draw and tutoring, you should be able to get those cards.

...and if your little "combo" fails... You can always turn to your old friend: Scourge of Skola Vale! With Tree of Redemption in play... The Scourge can easily end some games.

Deck discussion for Budget Decks: Spellweavin'

Awesome job man! I really like how it turned out! Good idea using Scourge of Skola Vale as a backup win-con, i never would have thought of that, and thanks for giving the idea a shot for me :)

Well, I would probably make it with a bit more of a helix based strategy, and probably more retrace cards. it might be awhile before it is up. if there are any deck you would like me to check out, please tell me! :)

I like the deck concept, but the execution isn't broken enough for me yet. About to make a version with Treasure Cruise and Life From the Loam instead.

Whipped this up if you like semicompetitive viability, infinite turns, and/or Cruel Ultimatums:

Diggin the deck, ever consider trading Elvish Visionary for Overgrown Battlement or similiar card, you know work some defender synergy in there? Food for thought.... Either way I already liked the deck

Yeah. Additional defenders couldn't hurt, but I guess I need some tutoring and card draw too to be able to achieve the combo. Thank you a lot for suggesting though.

Looks awesome.

It's giving me some thoughts of Kin Tree and Howl of the Horde. Any chance you could throw something together like that but "standard" (doesn't even need to be budget)?

Thanks man... as usual, very inspiring.

I should have mentioned, maybe with Dragons Eye Servant with the two.

Another great deck Northy (I'm getting tired of saying that hahah). Wondering if you could comment on a new deck:
http://www.mtgvault.com/tleung84633/decks/esper-pox-think-about-it/

Sorry to advertise, but I don't get many comments/advice.

Regarding this deck of yours, I like it cause your opponents won't see it coming...any of it. The discard combo, very strong creatures equal to life total or creature toughness, etc. Also have good defenders for protection and also card draw with the visionary. if you want to combine them, I'd suggest wall of blossoms. A defender for protection (out of shock and bolt range) and also has card draw. I like it better than the visionary just cause of the toughness. Still a 2-drop. =)

I've already made Esper vs Naya, but it'll be my pleasure to create Esper vs Bant.
