Deck Description

Do you want to play EDH? Don't you have EDH deck? Do you think those ready-to-play-decks cost too much for your desires?
Or do you just think you can't figure out funny idea for your EDH?
NO MORE!
Budget EDH-series is meant for players that want to play EDH.
They are playable and their price is low! (Between 25 and 50 bucks.)

How to Play

Rakdos really enjoys high-costed creatures. And Bloodthirst. Especially the Bloodthirst. Cast creatures with low mana cost thanks to Rakdos's mighty ability!

Cards like Tormented Soul, Prickly Boggart, Nezumi Cutthroat, Goblin Fireslinger and Mogg Fanatic help you trigger the bloodthirst effect. It is also required to cast Rakdos, so you should have cards like that in your opening hand.

Cards like Charmbreaker Devils, Dread Cacodemon, Furyborn Hellkite and Hamletback Goliath like really much when you deal damage to your opponents while you control Rakdos. You'll be able to cast them by using only few mana.

Deck discussion for Budget EDH: Thirsty Rakdos

Northern, for your Budget EDH decks, what would you say is your maximum price? $50?

Yes. It can be seen in deck description. In EDH decks, my maximum budget is 50$.
Mostly because they are almost twice as big as my ordinary budget decks, and I enjoy using a bit better and more expensive cards in my EDH decks. Also I have to use a lot of special lands.

I actually just made a Karametra Landfall EDH deck. If you would like to check it out, here's the link.

Nice Rakdos theme going on here with Bloodthirst + 'ping' cards XD

Some cards I would like to suggest are:
1. Grenzo, Dungeon Warden (he would go surprisingly well with Rakdos' ability)
2. Mogis (welllll he's kinda expensive, so depends on whether he fits your budget :) )
3. Din of the Fireherd (this would be such a scary late-game card)
4. Torrent of Souls (revival + haste?)
5. Tyrannize/Spiteful Visions (also can annoy draw-power decks)
6. Breath of Malfegor (multi 5 damage)
7. Spontaneous Combustion (mass removal! Something this deck seems to lack)
8. Havoc Festival (if you want to risk it XD)
9. Rain of Gore (anti-lifegain. very sideboard-ish card though :) )
10. Avatar of Discord/Ashenmoor Gorger (they don't have bloodthirst, but very good early play)
11. Lightning Reaver (semi-unblockable)
12. Rakdos Ickspitter/Goblin Fireslinger (more direct damage)

have fun XD

EDH-term stands for Elder Dragon Highlander. Also known as Commander.

EDH is a game format where you must creature a deck that contains exactly 100 cards. Maximum playset size is reduced to 1.
Also, your deck must contain single "commander" card, that must be legendary. Your EDH-deck is allowed to contain only cards that share color/colors with your commander. You start the game with your commander in special "command zone" instead of your hand or library. You may cast your commander from your commander zone as it were in your hand. When your commander dies or becomes exiled, you may put it on your commander zone instead of putting it into your graveyard or exile. If you do, it's converted mana cost is risen by 2 colorless mana.
Also, in EDH players start with 40 life. Though if any commander deals 21 or more combat damage to same player during the same game, that player loses the game.

That's pretty much it. Hope that helped.
