How to Play

This example deck is classic green deck overall. It attempts to finish off your opponent with horde of creatures.
It plays lots of creatures, few other spells, and has ways to get mana a little bit more quickly.

-The early-game creatures of this deck are Brushstrider, Elvish Mystic, Kalonian Tusker and Deadly Recluse.
-Removal cards of this deck are Hunt the Weak and also Nessian Wilds Ravager or Enlarge in some situations.

Deck discussion for Example deck #1

Great green deck for beginners! If I had to make suggestions, it would be the following:

1. Replace Rumbling Baloth with Giant Spider. They both cost 4, but one of them can block flying while the other cannot!
2. Replace Burst of Strength with Rampant Growth or Harrow. Considering the mana curve and the buff spells, some extra mana ramp might be useful.
3. Replace Axebane Stag with Giant Adephage. Same cost, yet can do so much more with its ability to reproduce itself.

exodd, I really, really appreciate your suggestions on these examples, but...
I hope you know that these decks reflect the first decks that newbies create, so they should not contain mythics, and have as cheap cards as possible and in this case, only two rares per deck.

Ah. If that was the goal, you are correct about the mythic XD

Could you not replace the Brushstriders with Kalonian Tuskers? Same cost, Tusker doesnt have vigilance but can do so much more in way of blocking. If not, then Experiment One is a great choice due to all the high power creatures in this deck.
My first Green deck looked something like this, but replacing the Striders with Tuskers
Turn 1 Elvish Mystic/Experiment One, Turn 2 Kalonian Tusker.
I'd also replace Time to Feed with Hunt the Weak, I'd take 1/1 counters over life in a creature deck.
Hope I helped :)

You helped.
Though I will not remove all the Brushstriders, because I have soft spot for them in my heart since they saved my balls more than once at prelease.
But Hunt the Weak at least goes in!

So... An Anti-Blue deck?

Guess an old proverb is true: "If you can't beat them, join them!"
Add some blue to one of your decks or create a completely new blue deck so you can add cards like Gainsay and lots and lots of counterspells. That should be able to stop almost anything.

Other choices outside blue are Boil, Boiling Seas, Tsunami, Mistcutter Hydra, Great Sable Stag, Savage Summoning, Skylasher, Terra Stomper or even Scragnoth.

I hope I helped.

Cool thx man. Yea that is true. I was thinking a white blue deck with stuff that taps creatures and lots of counters/exile stuff.
