Deck Description

Starter Budget -series is variation of my famous(?) Budget Decks -series.
In this series, I attempt to create decks that go great for starters:
They do not have extremely valuable or complicated cards. Most of them are simple commons and uncommons.
Though, this doesn't mean that these decks aren't threat. In right hands (and some practice, of course,) they can overwhelm very tough opponents.
These decks are meant for those who have just dived into the mysterious depths of Magic: The Gathering, or for those people who like simple and cheap decks. Or, to just anyone!
Budget is meant to be low! (Less than 15 bucks.)

(Remember: If you are new player, do not be afraid to ask if you have questions. Northy has always time for newbies!)

How to Play

Starter Budget: Selesnya teaches newbies the ways of Selesnya Conclave, which tries to accomplish harmony by defeating all its enemies with hordes of creature tokens.

Deck discussion for Starter Budget: Selesnya

Since this deck has a lot of ETB effects, it might be worth it to add blink cards like:
1. Cloudshift (in place for Heroes' Reunion, since reunion only gains you life)
2. Conjurer's Closet

Another card that I suggest is Journey to Nowhere in place of Pacifism :)

Great deck otherwise XD

What about Selesnya charm in place of fog or reunion? It can be removal, pumping or a token to work with blessing/virtue?

I know the existence of the charm, I just didn't know is it good for starters... I guess I can add some...

I feel its pretty basic effects compared to the other charms.
I also just don't like straight life gain effects like reunion because they don't actually help you win, they just prolong the game, which in an aggressive deck like this it isn’t what you want.

I understand the concern for charms being too complicated.

For the price this would be a really fun deck to play with. I admire your work NorthernWarlord.

crusader of odric or wayfaring temple might be viable if there are enough tokens.

Crusader of Odric is also simple enough! Adding some now.

How expensive is geist-honored Monk? It's a bomb and gives you some flyers too.

Also Alive // Well is a good life gain card for token decks. Also Fungal Sprouting and Midnight Haunting if you want flying tokens
