How to Play

The Myojin combo's are probably the most straight-forward way to win. Get extra divinity counters on them, then remove in this order : Seeing Winds, Night's Reach, Cleansing Fire, Life's Web. They have no interrupts (or any other cards) and you get to keep all the cards that are invulnerable on your field, THEN you can put all the creatures you picked up from Seeing Winds onto the field. They have no blockers, you have an army.

Deck discussion for Kamigawa Spirit Lords

Nice, but there are some mistakes here too. when you use double season with twwt, it doesn't give you two indestructible permanents, because it says if you're placing counters on permanents, then place twice as many counters on that card, not to choose a new target for the counter. Also (I don't play commander, so correct me if I'm wrong here) from what I understand, when your commander, child of alara, dies, it goes back to the command zone instead of the graveyard, so it's effect is meaningless if that's the case, but I may be wrong here However, you could put in something like cromat (not too many rainbow commanders out there...) Still, I love the myojin combo that you have here! Looks like it'd be fun to play against!

I see that in the wording now! Damn. Well, it'd still be super boss for the Myojin cards, putting 2 divinity counters each turn on a card. As far as the "Child of Alara" effect is concerned, I wouldn't want that to happen, so I'm fine with that. I plan on pairing it with Aqueous Form and Forced Adaptation and just having a heavy hitter, perhaps indestructible thanks to TWWT.

Ah, I see your point on alara. Just have it in to get all the colors for your myojin combo eh? Fine by me. Still, I hate when that happens, misread a card effect and all.

I agree. But as far as the colors are concerned, that's not as big of a deal if I can get out AEther vial early.

Ah, wasn't commenting about difficulty to summon. I meant that having a commander with all five colors allowed you to put in all five of the myojin in the deck.

My skill in paying attention is severely lacking, apparently. LOL.

... How did you know what I saw? (seriously though... saw a squirrel running around in my yard when I made the comment... how did you do that?)

Just added lighthouse chronologist. I have a question : If I'm playing in a 5-man FFA (free for all), and the next person goes, then their end-step occurs, it becomes my turn. Does that mean after I go, that same person (next in line after me) goes again? That would effectively cut 3 people off of the rotation. Sounds OP to me.

No, that's not how it works. What happens is you sort of but in between his turn and the next person's turn, take your turn, then the person after him will go, you'll but in again, and so on, no players are skipped, you just end up taking a LOT more turns.

I just looked up on Gatherer and answered that. Thanks for the quick write-back though! It's still pretty BA, and a good addition to this deck, increasing counters on AEther Vial 2 at a time if doubling season comes out. Honestly, I'd hope that by the time I have a lvl 7 lighthouse chronologist, I won't need AEther vial, but it doesn't hurt lol.

OH! But if I had someone else that had one on the field, then the two of us would continue indefinitely until one of us killed the other one's L.C.....Might have to team up with a friend to make that happen.

Yeah, I'm going to be putting him in my zombie deck soon, which has a crap load of proliferate cards in it. So, with the ever so specially worded "Level counter" that you put on him for paying the level up cost, I can get him to level seven fast. He's great.

Wow, that team up sounds evil... Still, in a commander deck, that sounds next to impossible.

Oh wow. Yeah I hadn't even thought about using him with proliferate. That's going to be a MEAN zombie deck. And if you get 2 out on the field....Call it a day.

Sucks they're $10 bucks a piece. Still, I'm excited about dropping this guy tomorrow at our MTG meetup. Just nonchalantly be like, "I'm playing this guy" and see if anyone is paying attention.

Yeah, just traded out Alara for Chromanticore as my commander. I figure I can summon him once as a creature, and the rest of the time use the bestow cost to enchant other ish to make them crazy.

erm... correct me if I'm wrong, but doesn't the commander need to be a legendary?

*DIES* Yeah...I thought I had filtered for only legendary. Can't do that on this site. Darn Gatherer for spoiling me! I fixed it.
