I have already subbed for the Nykthos and main boarded Mistcutter. Garruk was an idea, but my mana curve is pretty low. He seems pretty useless in this deck for the overall cost of the card and limited playability. I dropped a few other cards and added a couple of World Eater's for a nice turn 3 drop. Thanks for the thought though! :)

Or you could use removal spells on your own Slivers (1 and 2 drops) and replay them to make DoD larger. Slivers are too slow in this set to just run Slivers, you have to run heavy control to make it truly effective. Trust me, I have play tested a few Sliver decks and done extensive research. Sliver control is the only one that really holds it's ground.

The Mutavault turned creature with DoD is great for blocking large creatures. Or just block with a Sliver and disperse it back to your hand in order to drop it for more counters on DoD. DoD is great for a tribal deck. I used to run Coat of Arms, but it seems to work just as well.

DoD is made for tribal decks, it is a key essential. It has also saved my creatures from a lot of burn spells. Just saying.

This is very true. I think that I am going to play test it. I love throwing Slivers at people. XD

That is awesome, have a few play sets. Been trying to keep them away from other people, haha.

Drop a Domri, a Thorncaster, and Blur. Add 3 Bonescythe, or 2 Bonescythe and another Hive Stirrings. Seems that it would stillbe effective.

Check out my Sliver deck and tell me what you think. :)

I would replace the Battle Slivers with an extra Door Of Destinies and another Galerider Sliver. The mana cost is too high for such a petty ability. Flying is much better, and it is a one drop. :)

Hmm... Why is everyone going Gruul? There is a perfect opportunity with these slivers to run a solid state control/agro deck. White, Blue, Green.

Not a bad idea. I always forget that it is back in standard.

This is a good start, but in all honesty, it wouldn't be effective in tournament play. The Malakir Bloodwitch is pretty much useless for that mana cost. I posted a deck earlier that is also a Zendikar block mono black vampires. I ran it as my main deck when the Zendikar block was still standard. Check it out, and maybe it can help you with a more solid layout. Let me know if can help at all. 12 years Magic experience. :)

Thanks for all of the suggestions, but this deck has been long dismantled haha.

They aren't really needed, I just threw them in for quick play. Wit's End is a fun card, but the mana cost is a little steep.

I suggest running x4 Laboratory Maniacs, x2 Jace, Memory Adept, x2 Sands of Delirium. It mills yourself and you win the game is Laboratory Maniac is in play. Run it in Esper form, and it should work pretty effectively. :)

That was my original intent, but the tokens are extremely simple to deal with. Just a suggestion.

Try Garruk Relentless instead of Vraska. He tends to work much better.

This deck isn't the most effective deck ever, but I built it for a friend of mine to learn how to play Magic. It turned out better than I thought it would. I highly recommend it for new players. The synergy is great, playability is simple, and it can move quickly with the right opening hand. Let me know what you think.
