I love Pauper EDH. It makes good use of Uncommon creatures. And some of them, like this on maybe, rival true EDH decks.

you can have legendaries, but your commander must be a uncommon non-legendary. If there are common legendaries you can use them in the deck though. These are the rules in was told by my local game shop, so they might be different.
