Deck Description

Trying to make the most straight forward mono-blue legacy deck I can.

Is this the best mix of creatures or am I missing something?

Deck discussion for Legacy Show and Morph Deck

Maybe some Progenitus. And how 'bout mystical tutor? To draw Show and Tell a lot easier. Sensei's Divining Top is always better compared to Brainstorm in this kind of deck. Overall, very solid and well-rounded. Good job Planestalker! Keep it up~

Btw, I hope you could give me some short advices on your free time with my decks here:

Mashitta,

Thanks for the input. I'll try to get around to looking at all your decks over time.

Progenitus is good maybe replace 2 Emrakul with 2 Progenitus?
Adding the mystical tutor makes deck non-legacy legal.
Sensei's may not be as good as you think. Brainstorm can feed Force of Will the Top can't.

Nice lineup, you could always drop out the shield spheres and throw in blinkmoth or inkmoth nexus with 2 blightsteel and some shape anew. But these type of legacy decks are so mean. One card that may take a lil longer than polymorph or show and tell that you can use is proteus staff, it may cost 6 to play and use it the first turn, but it stays on the field for continuous use =]

Chewrida,

Thanks for the comments. Yeah couple blinkmoth and inkmoth might be ok. I'd have to test the mana screw probability. Including them also would weaken the use of daze. Proteus staff is great if this deck was to be used in group games its just a little to slow to get out in a dual. Tell you what why don't you make legacy legal show and tell and shape anew deck so I can comment on it? It seems like a good idea to me.

Old,

Yeah Griselbrand is really, really, really good. If you ever make this deck feel free to put in Griselbrand instead of Progenitus. I just went this route because Jin-Gitaxias and Progenitus both can be used to help feed a Force of Will to hopefully push through a Show and Tell for Emrakul. But Griselbrand is probably optimal instead of Progenitus. It just Progenitus is such a wonderfully funny sick card with "Protection from Everything"you got to love Show and Telling or Polymorphing it.

counterspell is just a overall better Daze. They are both a 2 mana spell but counterspell doesn't have a drawback like "counter spell unless owner pays 1 colorless". Also personally I dislike Ancient Tomb; getting shocked every tap is a bit harsh. I'd rather pay the 4 mana for Thran Dynamo (get 3 colorless every time it taps) or if you don't care about staying legacy Sol Ring.

Hi velath,

Thanks for your comments. Daze is a surprise counter you can cast it with all your lands tapped out by paying its alternate casting cost of returning a land to hand. This can be critical if you cast a turn 1 or 2 show and tell with help of chrome mox and/or ancient tomb. Daze can be a surprise counter to opponent's force of will or spell pierce to help force through show and tell.
