Thank you. The only card i wanted but couldn't really find a place for was Claim.

I personally always want to work in dark confidant in builds like this, but that's me. And ya, Claim would be perfect. If you needed to you could morph this into grixis and go for it, but I don't think it's necessary. Looks good as is.

looks pretty good. my main questions are why urborg and separately why not thought scour?

It's not really set in stone, this is just what I've started out with. Urborg was originally for Mutilate which I'm not running anymore. That, and most of my sideboard has "BB" in its costs. I am on the fence between Opt and Thought Scour. I've also been considering Bauble.

thought scour is nice because getting out a threat turn two is really good for this deck, and it allows you to get turn two gurmags more often

Thought scour hits hard because decks run lots of delve and snapcasters. This deck has 2 delve cards, and by the time you get to them you will have more than enough material, so i would say opt is the better fit. Personally, i think opt is the best tactics card for modern control, as instant speed helps a lot both early game and late, and the pre-scry sees fewer cards than serum visions but cuts down on the useless topdeck lands in hand.

I suppose we could swap out 2 Denials for a couple Squalls. Good call.

Took out both Denials and Squalls and put in a set of Rune Snag. Was this the correct choice? Should I go for Remand instead? Deprive perhaps? All of them seem so mediocre.

I like remand, as it retains tempo, give you a solid turn 2 after you field your delver or 1-drop tactic sorceries, feeds the delve, and retains material. It also works fantastically with the discard you are using, as you can retain tempo and material, then make them discard it if its threat enough.

That's an interesting point. I'll pick a set up and try it out. Keep you posted.

Also, looking at Deprive, the "UU" seems a bit steep but I could potentially use it to pick up a Watery Grave to grow my Shadows.

You were right, Remand was the correct choice all along.

Starting to think Collective Brutality doesn't belong in the main deck; but I'm not sure what to take out of the sideboard. I'd also like to add another 2 Remand in somehow.
