Ivy lane Denizen will trigger his ability (whenever a green creature enters the battlefield under your controll, distribute a +1/+1 counter on any creature) whenever a saproling enters the battlefield. Now... not only are you making saps, but you can dramatically increase the power of something... or double the production on your mycoloths...just a thought.
Vigor fills a similar role.
