Deck Description

This is a try to build a deck arround the complicated but heavy ruleset that Blood Sun invited into the game.

1/19/2018: A mana ability is an ability that produces mana, not an ability that costs mana.
1/19/2018: Land cards not on the battlefield aren't affected.
1/19/2018: If a land has an ability that triggers “when” it enters the battlefield, it will lose that ability before it triggers.
1/19/2018: If a land has an ability that causes it to enter the battlefield tapped, it will lose that ability before it applies. The same is also true of any other abilities of a land that modify how it enters the battlefield or apply “as” it enters the battlefield, such as the first ability of Unclaimed Territory.
1/19/2018: If a land gains an ability after Blood Sun has entered the battlefield, it keeps that ability.
1/19/2018: If a land has an ability that continuously changes the types of other lands (such as Urborg, Tomb of Yawgmoth does), that ability will apply before Blood Sun removes that land's abilities. If a land has an ability that grants abilities to other objects, Blood Sun will stop it from doing so.

I choose lands that have each a drawback that will be disabled from Blood Sun to get only advantages from the lands. lands dosent come into play tapped and the Ravnica Lands will also not bounce so we gain an extra 2 mana each time we play any of them. City of Brass will no longer hurt our lifepoints while it still produces mana of any color as same as the shock dual lands.

How to Play

While we will first setup our mana base and try to find a Blood Sun, we will later use the mana we make to invest into the plainswalkers abilities, first Nissa to either Scry or put more lands into play while Kiora will primarily untap our lands.

Some counter spells help protecting our combo base while we dig for our win cons. Splinter and Liquimetal Coating together can remove ANY card and any copy from an opponents access and should primary cripple his or her mana base for removing any basic lands while Blood Sun stops utility lands from working until he or she gave up or we hit enougth damage to bring down the lifepoints. Second we use Altered Ego to copy a creature on the field to win the game. You have an Emrakul? I have an even stronger one that you cant counter :DD
Third and least win con is using Nissa and Kiora together to get enougth power to beat the opponent down. Simple and boring but effective.

I added a few utility cards like World Shaper and World Breaker into the deck to get our lands back and rid of nasty little cards that could hinder our forecome. Jadelight Ranger can get us additional lands but also be a beatdown card. Rewind is usefull because we would get not only a free counter but also could untap up to four lands that make an effective mana gain of 8 like in the good old days of High Tide.

I know this deck isnt a bord-winner (yet) but should be fun to play as well

Deck discussion for Sunfolk

+1
interesting, I would put out the liquimetal combo because it doesn`t fit in the deck. it is more important to find your blood sun. Additionally I think you need more to take value out of your mana: primeval titan is a classic in this kind of deck and spells like comet storm could finish very quick with enough mana. to use the ravnica double lands twice for extra value, voyaging satyr or kiora`s follower are great (tap for two). other ideas are life from the loam, azusa and crucible of worlds. to find your combo pieces you could use other blue card value cards like opt or anticipate

Its not final yet so this may be a placeholder for now.

I'm still looking for some effective use from the huge mana base while I think Explore, Serum Visions and Nissa are a good start to get a copy of Blood Sun as early as possible you might be right for getting it is the primary goal
