Deck Description

This is a kitchen table, for funsies deck. Alternate title: Jace and Lilliana's Night Out.

This deck was inspired by the idea of card denial by a mix of milling and discard, and using your opponent's cards against them for maximum hilarity.

The deck is designed to win either via damage (the Consuming Aberrations ramp up pretty quickly) or via mill (the CA, Curse of Tomes, Jace, and Traumatize can end things pretty quick). While not having any hard bombs, the CA and Jace can change the match pretty quickly.

How to Play

The key to this deck is abusing Dark Rituals to get Hypnotic and Nightveil Specters out early. The Deathcult Rogues are primarily designed to be used with the Cipher cards, but they work equally well with the Specters if your opponent doesn't have a large base of flying creatures.

Stacking Ciphers is best done after a Consuming Aberration has hit the table. Following a CA up with Traumatize maximizes the opponent's card loss.

Planeswalkers are there as both distractions and support for the deck's ideals. Jace's 0 is a great support to the Curses, which should be brought out early.

The Realmwrights are there to prevent mana screw by making all lands pull double duty, but if the Nightveil can be brought out early, they can be used to switch around land types to cast the opponent's exiled spells. Transguild Promenades and the Chromatic Lantern are designed to be reserved until needed to cast the opponent's spells.
