Deck Description

True green players will appreciate this type of deck. When your local meta starts running a bit too many removal spells you can spice up your green deck with some Thrun. This lad is a control player's nightmare. Not only is he uncounterable, which straight up owns almost all of blue, he is hexproof AND can regenerate.

Wizards was smokin some dank treefolk when they made this card, cause he busted. Even if the control player finds a way to deal with him such as sacrifice, -1/-1 counters, wrath of god, mass exile, bounce, etc. This guy just comes back down from the command zone uncountered like "what up fools".

The budget is okay at around 120$, but you really don't need the expensive cards like Craterhoof, Heroic intervention or Lurking Predators. Craterhoof could just be replaced with any generic overrun effect, or Intervention with Wrap in Vigor. Lurking Predators is here just to hose control and for V A L U E.

FUCK CONTROL, US GREEN GAMERS NEED TO RISE UP AGAINST THIS MENACE AND RESTORE THE COMMANDER SOCIETY TO THE GOOD OLD BATTLECRUISER DAYS.

How to Play

Obviously Thrun has his downsides, which is why you never go all in on the voltron strategy (50+ equipment Kemba), because if they have the answers your deck is trash. We run some voltron cards here to blow control players out of the water ASAP and if that don't work, we're just a normal green deck. Good ol' spam dudes into Craterhoof.

With Thrun we can also run some fairly risky cards in other green decks, such as Soul's Majesty, Hunter's Prowess and Hunter's Insight. Just for that extra gas to keep on keepin' on.
