Deck Description

Modern control in a new look shell.

This deck is more proactive control than a traditional control deck with more spells being cast on the pilot's turn and not their opponent's turn. This deck is very interested in controlling the battlefield but after sideboard you should be able to handle other decks that don't have a creature focus.

Only 3 counterspells and they are all in the sideboard.

How to Play

I'm still working on the sideboard but there are only a couple of cards I'm not sure of. It would certainly be nice if sideboards were expanded to 18 cards due to the diversity Modern is starting to show. HAHA...

I like the deck. I haven't seen Narset played much, but she seems neat. A lot of good choices here to keep your opponents from playing much. The only thing I'm not sure about is your win condition. Do you plan to chip away with just the Snap Caster or the Creeping Tar Pits? I feel you need something for late game. My buddy has a similar kind of deck and runs Tasigur, the Golden Fang. I personally like to run Ojutai.

I also think with the amount of fetch lands you have, you can probably afford taking out a land or two.

Thank you for the suggestions. The deck is very good late game with the manlands and other creatures. I don't have many creatures due to the Supreme Verdicts. The number of lands is because I like to be at 6-8 lands by the end of the game for snap-verdict in a pinch.

The manlands are great because they survive Supreme Verdict.
