Deck Description

some fun things are:

Sac something (Not hard almost everything in the deck has it + some other effect built in) + Grave Pact + Butcher of Malakir,

Any of the token generators (Marsh Flitter, Siege-Gang, Oona, Goblin Assault, Bitterblossom) give you more fuel for other sac engines like attrition and combo with skullclamp beautifully,

The evoke creatures all give another sac + other nifty stuff, which is pretty neato,

All shroud/unblockable buffs + Savage beating + lots of sacrafices (but not that many) lets Thrax deal lethal damage to multiple people in one turn,

Also, the general is a zombie assassin, which is pretty sick...
Also, front page, yay!

Fun stuff.

Deck discussion for Thraximundar EDH

Prince of Thralls = awesome-sauce in this. XD Can't believe I missed him in my attempt at a Thrax build.

And, to be honest, yours is a much more stable and focus build than mine. Nice work, I like it a lot.

Thanks for the comment bro,

I like your idea with culling dias. How has it worked out in the past?

Hey why don't you use some of the horror creatures that require sacrifices like delraich sac three black things put him into play give him 3 +1/+1 counters and make things even better use grave pact as well and give him 6 +1/+1 counters and usually games i play of edh are 4 player give him 12 +1+1 counters etc. u get my drift HEY check out my warstorm wave deck

P.S. i would dedicate a bit of your blue to making things unblockable. just thought i would throw that out there because thrax gets really... REALLY REALLY big quickly and will kill someone instantly with general damage on the turn he comes out if you play him then sac 3 black things to play del raich while having gravepact out and playing somthing to make him unblockable until end of turn... once again check out my warstorm wave deck

Thanks for the idea. I added Cephalid Pathmage (another thing to sac), Ethereal Usher (the transmute might be helpful... not much for 6 cmc in this deck), and Trailblazer's Boots (don't know why they weren't in there in the first place xD).

Good concept, but it seems like you're trying to do too much with one deck. I'd slim it down- but that's just me. Looks decent, though. :]

Hmm, could you go into more depth...?

Doesn't EDH require only ONE of everything and max 100 cards?
the formula is sound for aggravation-ability synergy to delay until heavy hitters come online.

How do you operate with the loss of life?
for example, necropotence, arena, bloodgift AND bitterblossom active. Should you choose to capitalize on bloodgift and necropotence, that's 4 life per turn!!
You couldn't keep that up for long, i'd guess. and the only slurp spell in the deck is Cruel Ultimatum.

Well 4 life a turn puts me on a 10 turn clock and being able to draw most of my deck at that point in the game I should be able to win pretty fast.

Might i suggest Grave titan to produce squishies AND serve as a beatstick.
also, Avatar of Slaughter goes for $2 max, i think he would have a place in this deck for making BOTH Thrax attacks more painful and giving your opponents extra incentive to block weak creatures, thus triggering Grave Pact.
(Creeping tar pit + fallen ideal) + avatar of slaughter + Thrax + grave pact + tons of squishies = at least one opponent's field is cleared, tar pit kills someone outright, thrax gets superpumped and kills someone else. double strike for all. If savage beating was in your hand, you can break the game.

I really like avatar of slaughter actually, thank you for that. I would throw in a Grave Titan too if I had one, he fits so many rolls in this deck I might actually get one now... Thanks for the constructive comment!

Howbout Nezumi grave robber? flip it over it becomes a raperaperape that lets you keep what you murder.
looking at your formula, i was just fantasizing about forcing someone to sac Ulamog.
... mine now.

I like grave robber he's just so hard to activate especially if you draw him later in the game. Then again if you did get him flipped he would be extremely useful...

I've been playing around with Thrax in EDH with the new zombies out of Innistrad, but it always ends up looking more grixis, which isn't bad, but I like tribals for EDH. Adds more flavor to the games me and my friends play when we do EDH. Zombies vs. Vamps vs. Elves vs Goblins vs Soldier for eg. I'm debating on making a zombie EDH but I can't seem to choose between Grimgrin and Thrax, I like Thrax for red but Grimgrin is cheaper and has a much more interesting mechanic imo. What do you think? Also, check out my other EDH decks if you have time, especially the Vamp one with Olivia. That one's fun.

this deck is SKYROCKETING in popularity (by my standards) i shall certainly construct it.
Thank you for the brilliant build. I'll tell all my friends about you, (once Thrax is done raping them) and credit YOU with my wins.
I'd like to vote this deck be named "Insatiable Hunger" or "Insatiable Toilet of Doom"

I made a Thrax deck too, but it's completely different in style. Check it out if you like http://www.mtgvault.com/ViewDeck.aspx?DeckID=247780

Only thing I can suggest is Reliquary Tower, because of Necropotence.

After making a possible EDH deck poll, i noticed that one of my front runners is Thraxi, and was wondering if you could maybe help me out by voting on who i should pick? Thanks for the great deck ideas if i do make a thraxi also, gravepact and enchantments like that would have never even been thought of :P

i would suggest phyrexian obliterator, even though that its cost is a little expensive being four black, but it would be totally worth it. i love the general. i almost died when i saw this haha well done

I like the obliterator, but in edh he'll probably just be 5 damage a turn which isn't amazing... and the 4 black is pretty restrictive.
