thragtusk is one of the most important cards in the deck, it's one of the big reasons to play Nic fit as it is the only shell in legacy that enables you to play this insane unfair creature. phantasmal image is one of the most versatile creatures of the deck at very low mana cost. Cutting it seems bad.

Yeah I know, it's insane with Therapy but there's no room left in the deck and it's not worth cutting any of the other cards for. Usually with creatures like Veteran Explorer and Baleful strix the flashback is easy to pay and therapy works very well. Also with a good understanding of the meta therapy hits what it neeeds to hit even blind.

even with a mana curve of 1 you still want more land so you can play 2 spells on turn 2 and possibly even 3 spells on turn 3... before you die :)

and why play Dragonmaster Outcast?

Protection rules don't protect against worldfire and jokulhaups.

The permanent or player with protection can't be:

- Damaged by sources with the given quality (all such damage is prevented)
- Enchanted or equipped by permanents with the given quality
- Blocked by creatures with the given quality (if it's a creature)
- Targeted by spells of the given quality, or abilities with sources of the given quality.

worldfire and jokulhaups don't do any of these things so protection against red doesn't protect against these cards even if they are red.

I use Glen Elendra Archmage in my new EDh deck, she's a real pain. You'll probably have speed the deck up with Mana dorks or by means of artifacts (Sol Ring, Mana Crypt...) or slower stuff like Cultivate and the likes. You could also play Lotus Cobra with fetch land which is quite nice. Green sun's Zenith would fetch alomost every creature in your deck.

OMG

this looks quite rediculous (in a crazy good). You might need an additional mana dork or 2. I don't think you want to sit around until turn 3/4 doing nothing when not drawing into birds. And if you need some protection I would add Cabal Therapy.

It's the first relentless rats deck I've seen that I actually like and that actually looks very strong.

I like the addition of Shape of the Wiitigo, it's costly but if you can pull it off on Fathom mage it's quite nuts. Personally I would cut Corpsejack Menace because he is the only one introducing black and not quite worth it. You can For instance stay in blue green and add Master Biomancer and Vorel of the Hull Clade for simular effect.

I would play 1 to 2 doubling season at most, it's just to high up the curve and doesn't do anything on it's own. Tutor it if you have to and then at least you can toolbox. Gyre Sage could be quite rediculous, maybe I should concider it for my EDH.

great deck man, there's crazy postential here :)

Yeah I assume it is, I would not do this to people though :)
If it wasn't for the Thorn/Thalia strategy/theme I would probably have added 3x Opposition as well.

I stole the idea from Epsilon :) Always loved playing Grand Arbiter though, played him as a Commander for an EDH deck for a long time, people hate him.

This is incorrect, mutilate only affects creatures in play at the time it is cast.

What about Orcish Lumberjack, I've been wanting to use him again for a long time now and in your deck he seems wel placed.

T1 Mountain, Orcish Lumberjack
T2 Forest, tap mountain, tap forest, tap lumberjack to sac forest = 5 mana. There's potential there for brokenness!!!

Crop rotation is indeed one of the best tutors for land. You should concider Expedition Map as a second option, it's probably better then Realms and Scrying.

poeple are going to love this deck :)

PS: most casual players won't allow 4 stripmine. It's either restricted or banned in every tournament legal format because it's just to strong. Playing 1 is usually what is accepted in casual because of the vintage restriction rule.

Hey dude, you post a message on the forum asking help to improve your deck for 80$. I go through the effort of digging up a ton of cards with prices and you don't even feel it's necessary to check back in. What kind of an utter asshole are you? It's because of douchebags like you people don't bother making an effort contributing to the forum. Why the fuck do we have a forum if assholes like you just post there and then never come back.

Lackey is only really good if you can stick a high costing goblin like Goblin Ringleader or Siege Gang Commander. It's what makes goblins better then most tribals.

I agree with raggedjoe, the list is becomming more of a every 2 drop ever printed list then the best 2 drops out there.

You should only put cards on there that rival the power level of Mana Drain, Survival of the Fittest, Demonic Tutor, Timewalk, Timevault, Umezawa's Jitte etc....

Recent cards that deserve to be in there in my opinion are Phantasmal Image, Stoneforge Mystic and Snapcaster Mage.

Also smallpox is at least as powerful and probably better then Sinkhole
