Deck Description

Aristocrat Deck Rules:
1) Decks must contain 60 cards.
2) Decks can have up to 2 rares. Of the two rares, each one must be unique. In other words, a deck can't have two copies of the same rare.
3) Mythic rares are not allowed. Ever! Yes, that means no planeswalkers.
***EDIT: Has been pointed out to me, by s0rinmark0v, that there were 5 Planeswalkers that started out Rares, and were converted over to Mythical Rares:
Aristocrat Planeswalkers (Only allowed Planeswalkers in Aristocrat Format)
- Ajani Goldmane
- Jace Beleren
- Liliana Vess
- Chandra Nalaar
- Garruk Wildspeaker
4) Decks can also have up to 12 uncommons. Like the rares, the number of copies you can include of any particular uncommon is restricted. In this case, no more than three copies of any one uncommon are allowed.
5) The rest of your deck is composed of commons, with the restriction that only 4 copies of up to three particular commons are allowed, with the rest of the deck's commons being limited to no more than 3 per unique common.
6) Basic lands are used as normal, with no particular limit on copies.
7) Sideboards are allowed and encouraged, and may include up to 1 rare and 3 uncommons, duplicating perfectly the rarity distribution of a typical booster pack. Additionally, none of the cards in the sideboard can be copies of the cards in the main deck.
8) Sideboards are allowed to have 4 copies of up to two particular commons in the sideboard.

3x Ghostly Prison
3x Invisible Stalker
3x Propaganda

Common: 24 (with 4 of a kind in no more than 3 cards)
2x Azorius Chancery

2x Harvestguard Alseids
4x Hopeful Eidolon
3x Nyxborn Shieldmate
1x Nyxborn Triton
1x Observant Alseid
4x Pacifism

Basic Lands: 22
10x islands
12x Plains

Design Notes:

Enchantments rule.
This deck has defense and offense.

Defense:
Pacifism is very useful in early game to answer the big fatties brought out on turn 3 by insane ramp decks. In later game, still useful to clear a path.

Propaganda/Ghostly Prison...different color, same card. It puts the lockdown on massive alpha strikes. Get a few out and they won't have an attack at all.

Armament of Nyx is both offense and defense. On defense, put it on an opponent's non-enchantment beater and presto the creature does no damage anymore.

Offense:
Invisible Stalker/Flitterstep Eidolon are unblockable. Free damage. This is important because when the opponent can't afford to attack, there will be plenty of blockers

Armament of Nyx gives doublestrike to any of 14 possible creature targets.

Ethereal Armor will be absurdly huge. 31 possible enchantments. Egads. Put that on Invisible Stalker and its Goodnight Gracie!

Celestial Ancient gives lots of pump to everyone.

And the big finisher is Replenish. If the opponent does manage to last awhile, suddenly the whole graveyard empties out back onto the board.

Excelsior!

Egads? Excelsior? Man ... I must be rubbing off on people!

Anyways .... conviction or flickering ward would be awesome.

Oh ... and this really is not Azorius ... at all. There isn't a single azorius spell here.

I suppose I just meant white and blue.
its a valid point though.

haha! maybe you're right about rubbing off. I intend the excelsior as a reference to Stan Lee's trademark sign off from letters in Marvel comics meaning "onward and upward".

As for egads, it either comes from "Singin in the Rain" or KnightoftheHokeyPokey.

I just checked out both conviction and flickering ward! Both are great, but I especially like flickering ward. Sadly, its uncommon. What would I sub out for it?

Conviction is at least common...what would go?

They would both feed the Celestial Ancient like a Golden Corral buffet. I like it.
