hmm it would fit , but I don't know if I want to win using mill
I've used it before, by myself in a deck with thraben inspector, wall of omens, sun titan, and wall of denial. Most creatures in the deck had a high toughness and some draw capability. I played 2 phenax and it was dug up pretty fast. Æther vial and a few counterspells protected the concept. It takes two "swings" with the walls in play to kill them. Leyline of sanctity and leyline of the void are also part of what it takes.Sideboard would have spellskite, lingering souls.It won by having so many walls and drawing them faster than even collected company could spit out creatures.
Did you try consuming aberration, or is that combo of sorts only good in EDH

I have the physical deck somewhere, but it would require quite a search.I can provide a list of the cards involved in the project which would give you an idea of it all.I'd also give a guideline on cards involved. A lot of different cards were forming the project. I had a couple of glint-nest crane, a 2/2 fox artifact fox that drew a card, relic of progenitus, archive trap, and many others.The key was to draw into the hatred as fast as possible and then wait for the kill.

Made a reconstruct.Phenax draw&mill. Judging from the current meta it's still a deck that can work as it did back then.There are many singletons, but it all works in unison.
I also made a list of what was considered. You might find some tech there.

I really love Order of the Stars because it stops anything without trample, that isn't an artifact or colourless, your opponent can throw at you for only 1 mana.

Hooray for more wall decks! Axebane Guardian can get you absurd ramp and color fixing. Slagwurm Armor can give you a boost almost as big as Tower defense, and they can be stacked. The trees (Tree of Redemption and Tree of Perdition) are 0/13 monsters that are absurdly cheap at CMC 4, even ignoring their abilities to manipulate player life totals. Kin-Tree Invocation can help you turn any of the above into instant giant monsters. Order of the Stars is one of my favorite cards generally, but note that is doesn't stop fliers unless you are also playing tower defense that turn. Wall of Tanglecord is also pretty great, blocks fliers, and, with 0/6, is fairly durable and threatening.I've had a lot of fun playing this: https://www.mtgvault.com/wikey/decks/wall-aggro/ from before Arcades came out.
Hey thanks for the tips. I looked at your suggested cards and most of them I considered putting in as well. I added Slagwurm Armor to the maybeboard.
